“hotel from hell”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

this hotel would fit in well from a scene in wrong turn mould on ceilings couldn't shut the door to toilet so no privacy view from room was a scummy roof from floor below all moss mould and even someones shoes kettle lead unsafe to use were cups but not even a spoon to stir coffee if wanted use the kettle not that id recommend it holes in the door looks like the wall had been touched up with nail varnish rather than paint wallpaper missing no telle windows wouldn't close so freezing thank goodness its only august curtains were hanging off and only up on a rope of some sort staff swore a lot but the waiter at breakfast was polite and very helpful the owner sat on her back side all day while the rest did everything for her and only serves breakfast 9to9.30am so miss it you've had it cats and dogs free in the house of horrors .also very noisy banging doors until early hours. the draws in bedside table were filthy the lamp shades broke and just to save the best until last just as we thought it couldn't get any worse we checked the mattresses and they were full either what was blood large amount or a number 2 it was nasty and the best thing for this hotel is to knock it down

Room Tip: avoid like the plague

We went on a hen do for one overnight stay, on arrival the smell of mould hits you, the rude staff and dirty chairs in the small reception area. The hotel needs knocking down and rebuilding it's vile. We were supposed to receive a free shot for the hen party and were told we couldn't have any as they had been really busy the previous weekend and had not re-stocked. At breakfast the cutlery looked like it had not been washed, the only good thing was the waiter was very friendly and polite. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

We stayed here because there was absolutely no where to stay because there was an airshow and we couldn't get anywhere else. The ceiling was stained carpets the lot the bottom sheet of the bed was pink and the sheets were green. We didn't get any breakfast when we asked me got 'joking aren't you' we we're charged £50 as they knew there was no other option for us. The woman on the front desk was quite friendly but the security guard got paid for nothing but listen to his music. There was people screaming all night running up and down the halls no telly for £50 ? Absolute joke. We we're not told when we had to be out or when breakfast was due it was on the back of the door with fire instructions written in pen ? Because I would know to check fire safety for my breakfast times wouldn't i. There was literally no where else for us to stay other than here if you stay do not pay £50 please. I would of rather camped in a tent.

My friend booked 6 of us in here as it claimed to be a party hotel. Well I have seen better parties in a morgue.
On arrival we were greeted by miserble woman who told us if we wanted the bar we would have to go somewhere else. She never told us when breakfast was either. But judging by the room I am now sitting in, I wont be eating here in the morning. It is filthy beyond belief. Me and friend wont even get in bed because it failed the pube test! The bathroom looks like someone has performed an abortion in it, there is an unidentifiable stain on the wall, wall paper is peeling off, there is a tv. But it has no plug and the remote only has 1 battery. We are in a double room, but only have 1 cup to make a brew with. Now I am starting to sound like Alex Polizzi. She would have a field day here.
I 100% DO NOT recommend this hovel.

Couldn't. Even eat breakfast there it was that bad, three dogs kept in back yard which was full of dogs poo, they looked neglected. Poor things, the owner fed them by tossing a handful of dried food over the gate for them, it was horrible. To see, my curtains has poo on them, walls all stained, telly was so high up u couldn't watch it, cups and kettle. Minging, wires hanging down from old smoke alarm, windows. That dirty hard to see out of them, it should be condemned. It's that bad x

After reading the reviews for this hotel I was about worried about what this hotel was like we were a group of 32 staying for a hen night! The hotel was perfect for what we wanted a comfy bed a nice well stocked bar and drinking area and en suite rooms! Alright the rooms and especially bathrooms could done with a deep clean but personally I think you get what you pay for!!
The bar was stocked with any drinks you could imagine from soft drinks to vodka to shots, all chilled and straight from the fridge, there was a pool table and some bandits to keep people entertained, he bar area was spacious and clean!
Our rooms were quite small but we didn't spend much time in them so that didn't matter,
Breakfast was perfect for after a night out cereals and juices, tea coffee and a fry up also as much toast as you could eat!
Would stay here for a night out again if you want something a bit more up market then spend a little more!! X

Booked just for the one night with 3 friends as we were going out for the night over in Blackpool. We were greeted by a pleasant lady who advised us where to park then showed us to out room. The room plus the whole hotel need a massive clean and decorate! Our room was very small there was a lovely big hole in the bathroom door where someone had put their fist through it! Needed a good Hoover and dust the heater had a wheel missing, the duvet was as thin as anything and the shower /toilet was grubby and tiny. The whole hotel was freezing we were told it was due to the boiler breaking down but reading other reviews from wks ago I think it was the norm for it to be freezing! No draught beer only bottles the bar /lounge was empty but full of empty bottles nothing has been tidied away. We all huddled around a little heater as we were yep frozen! The breakfast was ok could maybe of done with the sausages cooked a little longer as they were very pale. I suppose you get what you pay for but a bit of a clean wouldn't cost em much. Wouldn't recommend it and won't be staying there again.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel!
