Just returned from a 3 nights stay and it was fab. Room, beds and loo were clean, although a fresh towel would av been a bonus. Cooked brekkie was delish and it no bother if u just wanted scrambled eggs or beans on toast. The house cat (ratbag) is worth going to see alone, biggest moggy av ever seen :) Location is perfect, very close to all attractions. Will definitely be recommending and would definitely go back. Thanks Bill and Ben for your hospitality, first class

when we arrived at hotel felt the owner celia was very strict with her rules we where a crowd of ladies from the age of 50-58....what we had to laugh it not to bring men back to our rooms we are all happily married as we told her....we never got clean towels daily we had the same ones all weekend we even had to ask on the sunday to have our bins emptied.....the worst thing was the cat sitting on a table in the dining room which we thought was very unhealthy just shouldnt be near where food is getting served.....didnt want to tell the owner one of us was an previous hotel inspector but the rooms and breakfasts where good and the location of hotel was good

Room Tip: dont get rooms on front to noisy

We have just stayed 4 nights B and B at this hotel whilst attending a dance event at the Winter Gardens which is a short walk away. The hotel is family run, everyone friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served till 10 and the cooked breakfast is of a high standard. There were 4 of us so I had booked 2 twins and we were given a twin and a triple at no extra cost. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and the en-suite good and very clean. The only slight criticism is that the rooms were not serviced at all during our stay so I had to go and ask for more toilet rolls and tea/coffee etc, and the towels were not changed and the shower rooms could probably have done with a clean during the 4 days we were there. However, overall would recommend, especially if you want to be near the tower, winter gardens etc
