We stayed two nights. Our welcome was friendly and we felt at home from walking through door. The owners are a lovely couple. Rooms clean and modern. Breakfast was fantastic! Will definitely go back and would recommend to all.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel the first weekend in October 2013 on a family visit to see the lights. We are from York. We had a party of seven adults and six children. We were given a warm welcome and a cup of tea and then shown to our rooms. The couple who owned the hotel were both very friendly and helpful with regards to the geography of the local area.

Our rooms were immaculate and lovely and warm. My children had a view of the tower from their bedroom which they thought was fantastic.

This hotel if really close to some good local shops so we could get a bottle of wine in the evening to relax with (glasses supplied by our kind hosts.) Also we were within walking distance (Approx 10-15 mins) of the tower and the other super attractions.

The breakfast was top notch and my children were all well catered for as were the rest of my family. The service was swift and we were set up for the day!

The Canberra Hotel really made our stay special and a treasured memory for my children, myself and the rest of our family. We look forward to returning next year for another incredible stay.

I would strongly recommend this hotel and have given the number to one of my friends this week to take her hubby and two children. They will be asking for the tower room view! Lisa York

We stayed at this friendly bed and breakfast on Friday August 30th until Sunday 1st September 2013. We had the family room at the top of the building which is sectioned off via two rooms; one with a very comfy double bed and ensuite and one with a single bed and bunk beds for the children (view of the tower all lit up at night). The rooms were clean, tidy and presentable. The rest of the building was well decorated and appropriate. The owners are both very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts were lovely and the owners were keen to ensure that we all had we needed (extras). The bed and breakfast is a five minute walk from Blackpool Tower and the main town area and yet it was nice and quiet in the evenings. The price was very good for the service we received. A lovely, enjoyable stay had by us and our three children.

Room Tip: The family room at the top of the building has sufficient room for three children. The rooms are cle...

The owners of the hotel are so friendly and always want to the personal touch.

the hotel
in a great location and is clean and tidy noticed a few scuffs and holes in the hall carpet but dosnt dampen the hotel the hotel is of a good size and the breakfast/TV room is lovely clean amd stylish and nice place to have breakfast.
breakfast is home made and consists of bacon sausage egg tomato beans black pudding and mushrooms ther is also help yourself to cerals juoce and yoghert.

the rooms
the rooms are on the small side but in all fareness you are just sleeping and getting ready in the room. Our room (3) look like it had be refurbed and look good. the en suit its cramped only big enough for one person at a time.beds are soo comfy its hard to get up in the morning!!!

location
cant fault location walk down road to shops and another five mins to beachfront.

all in all a lovely little hotel a good base for our two night stay. only real downside is no real parking.

From start to finish we had a lovely time here. I booked spur of the moment on Laterooms. Got a nice email off the owner Yvonne thanking me for booking. When we arrived the place is absolutely spotless, we received a nice warm welcome from Yvonne and Gary. We were promptly shown to our room which again was spotless and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel doesn't accept hens and stags so is nice and quiet. Breakfast was awesome, all cereals, fruit, yoghurt and full English served in minutes. The location is central to everything. The 2 owners can't do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be going back
