My little girl was carting in summer with her dad, her hair is really long past her bottom.
Riders are given a helmet, but no hair net, or bobble to tie hair back. NOW there is a sign up stating you must wear a hair net, we have proof that there was no sign when it happened as we have photographs of this area - oh dear guys eek - dad tucked her hair into her cardigan, the young lad who put her in the cart could see her hair was very long, never made comment about it, just put here helmet on no mention of safety aspect. Half way round my little girl aged 9years was screaming frantically, young lad rushed over to the cart and could see my little girl was in distress, her hair had blown out of her cardigan with the wind, her hair was tangled in the engine, its lucky that her scalp never came away - somehow the staff member managed to rip her hair away from the carts engine, which we have on video, leaving it in the purple carts engine, My child has a massive bald spot and still does, and has headaches in the area where her hair was ripped out of the root, I have 3 lots of hair (dreddlocks) cut from her head from the hairdressers, she spent 3hrs in the hairdressers getting an intensive conditioner to get the dreddlocks out before cutting them out, no appology, no pass to return to ride again, just after peoples £££££ dont go on this ride, not safe enough, she cannot do photoshoots any more as she has different lenths of hair, and a lovely bald spot. MESSAGE TO THE MANAGER OF THE CARTS - WERE YOU AWARE - SWAS THIS LOGGED IN YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY BOOK - NO IT WASNT - NOT ON OUT PART....WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - MY CHILD WONT GO ON ANY RIDES AGAIN, BECAUSE OF THIS EXPERIENCE.
