“Awesome stay experience!”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

The Manhattan Blackpool has been one of my best hotel stays till date. It's a neat place tucked away in a quiet part of the city, though not much far away from all the action. The look and feel of the hotel is wonderful (the place is indeed beautiful!), the rooms are cozy and spic-and-span, the decor of the dining area and bar is fabulous, the morning breakfast is sumptuous - full credit to the warm hosts, Ian and Kevin, who leave no scope for complaints and ensure that each of their guests has a superb experience whilst there.
I'd like to mention that despite my arriving well before check-in time on my first day in Blackpool, and having a a bus well after check-out time on my last day there, on both occasions, Ian and Kevin were kind enough to allow me to freshen up at the hostel (they even provided me with a fresh towel!) and leave my bulky bag at the hotel. I was bowled over by their hospitality.
Despite reading all the nice reviews The Manhattan has received, the real experience at the hotel is quite so fantastic that it makes all the reviews seem like understatements. Keep up the wonderful work, Kevin and Ian.

Stayed as a long weekend with friends for shopping and nightlife, Its in a great location within walking distance to the centre and all attractions, rooms were spotless and included everything you'd need with a few extra little touches, well stocked bar and decent lounge to chill in before going out, Hosts Kevin and ian are welcoming and happy to chat also the type of hosts that seem to appear from nowhere just when you need them, be it more drinks or advice on where to go, plus they sorted us out with a discount card for loads of places which was great.Breakfast was spot on and they're game for a laugh as my mate has chips with everything so as a joke to wind his Mrs up he asked for them at breakfast which got the desired reaction, BUT, classic, he then received a bowl of chips with his breakfast ! so kevin and ian are well up for a joke\wind-up. Happy to stay here again and pretty sure we will do, If I have any critisim and its not a big issue, it would be our bathroom floor was mega creaky (hope no-one was in the room underneath...) and our room was a little tight (I'm a big lad) but thats no reason to stop anyone from staying here as its pretty much fautless.

The standard of accommodation is excellent, it is very clean and the decor is lovely. The breakfast is extremely well cooked and you get plenty to set you up for a day in Blackpool. Ian and Kevin are so welcoming I think it would be very difficult to find a better place to stay. We will definitely be booking again.

4 of us stayed here for 1 night and we booked 2 rooms. Really warm welcome and the owners couldn't do more for us. Provided details of bars and restaurants in the area.
Room small but very clean and you have everything you need for short break.
Breakfast good standard. Would recommend. Especially if you are going to the tower or funny girls which are really close by.

Friendly welcome on arrival and after checking in was asked if I would like tea or coffee-welcome after the journey.
Nice clean comfortable bedroom with clean towels every day and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits and even a stick of Blackpool rock!
Freshly cooked breakfast to order with ample choice of cereals fresh fruit and yoghurt to start. Pleasant bar area to enjoy a drink before going out for the evening.
Stayed for three nights and was made extremely welcome by the hosts Kevin and Ian and will definitely stay there again

I've lost count of the number of times I've stayed at this hotel. From the moment you arrive you are met by the friendly Kevin and Ian. You are served with tea and coffee if you wish and made to feel very welcome. We used Blackpool as a base for the weekend for our travels to Liverpool and the Lake District and visiting the bars and shops in the town. The breakfasts were up to their usual excellent standard with nothing too much trouble to cook. The usual high standards of the hotel have been maintained. If you're looking for an excellent Chinese restaurant try Michael Wan's Chinese in town. Very much looking forward to our return visit in the near future

What a lovely B & B,nothing was too much trouble for the owners Kevin and Ian, even down to the tomotoes for my breakfast, when i told them i didn't like "real" tomotoes, they kindly got in a tin of toms for me the following morning. The rooms were clean, tidy and nicely decorated, with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits made available in the rooms and a stick of rock too! There was a little cupboard of stock incase you had forgotten anything important, the bar was fully stocked and they even made me my favorite cocktail shot when asked, they couldn't do enough for you. They had all the information about blackpool: where to get cheaper attraction tickets and even gave us a discount card for certain bars and restaurants in blackpool. We liked it that much we were coheresed into staying another night.... its a good job i'd booked Monday off. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: If you want friendly, clean, tidy, quieter part of Blackpool this is the place.
