“Fantastic family hotel great value - the Jeavons family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2013

If you are thinking of going to Blackpool with you family you cannot go wrong with this hotel. Conveniently located very close to the front and North pier this hotel is perfectly situated but also slightly away from the livelier end. The hotel is excellent value for money and the breakfast was excellent quality. The owners are very helpful and are willing to do anything for you. We stayed in the yellow suite and with three children it was superb. All of the family enjoyed their stay and would love to go back again what more of an endorsement can we give,

Room Tip: All rooms appear excellent we stayed in the yellow zone

We have just got back from our weekend stay at the "Pier View Hotel" and I must say, we were all very happy.
The rooms were clean and bright, with fresh, fluffy towels waiting for us and the staff were very friendly and always at hand if we needed anything.
If you are planning on staying, I would definitely book the breakfast!! It was delicious and plenty of it, well worth the extra few quid! We had cereals, a full English, toast & jam and a pot of tea and it was all cooked to perfection.
The bar is clean and well stocked and has a large TV and a few slot machines and there were daily papers and magazines put in there for the guests too.
All in all, this was a very nice place to spend my birthday weekend with my family and we all said we will be happy to return later in the year.

For the price we paid this was excellent value for money. The hotel was clean, tidy and in decorative order where everything matches ! The beds were comfy and the service was top class. Breakfast was fab and the owners always made sure you had everything you needed. We stayed in the Yellow Zone and it was just everything we needed for our short stay in Blackpool. Would highly recommend and we would return. Definately a good place for families to stay.

Hotel very good ten minutes walk from bars and clubs. Michael and Noel very helpful all the time. Rooms adequate for the four days stay, and we booked again for August. Would recommend this hotel for families and couples. We discovered that some pubs charge one price for locals and another price for holiday makers. We thought this wasn't fair when we discovered this in the pub at the end of the street, so we never went in again. Other than this we had a lovely break in a good hotel.

Just came back from another stay there and the guys there are really working hard on improving the hotel even more. They have been decorating since we last stayed there. We enjoyed the stay there better than the Blackpool weather though!

This hotel is really great value for money and the prices over the bar are the best value you are likely to see in the UK, let alone Blackpool!

Very enjoyable - as ever!

What can I say? The previous reviews say it all!! Very clean, very comfortable, great breakfast bathroom spotless. The room was a fair size and perfectly adequate for our needs although nothing fancy. Facilities in the room included 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel each as well as another towel in the bathroom, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board (as standard, not on request as in other more expensive hotels), kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and milk, and (best of all) a microwave, which saved us having to eat out, we saved a fortune!! They even lent us plates and cutlery so we could eat our own food in the room. Spent the money we saved on a very reasonably price bottle of house (every night - il'll be their fault if we turn into alcoholics!!) which was extremely good. Being of a certain age and on a fixed income, saving money is always a bonus. They are even thoughful enough to provide bathroom cleaning wipes and all purpose wipes for the bedroom The icing on the cake were the complimentary toiletries and chocolates in the room on our arrival, not expected, but very welcome. The hosts, Michael and Noel, were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even helped us with our luggage on arrival and departure. With a view to taking our grandchildren sometime in the future, I was shown the 'family suite' (the yellow zone) which is at the front of the hotel and consists of 3 separate light and bright rooms and a separate bathroom, all are off a corridor which in turn has a separate door which can be locked. Therefore if you have children with you, you can leave their door on the latch when they go to bed and you can be in another room watching TV or a DVD (yes the TVs have a DVD facility) and they can get to you if need be. Also, because of the position of the 'suite', if the children make a noise, you don't have to bother too much about annoying other guests as you don't have any next door. I can't believe we got all the facilities, extras and hospitality for the money we paid. Do not be afraid to book into this hotel, they won't let you down.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a microwave yet (if you want one) but if you ask for one on booking, they will do...

What great value for price paid. Rooms had toiletries, tea, coffee, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. (Very short cable on hair dryer) Only thing missing was a mirror over dressing table.
Rooms small but great value for a base.
Hosts could not have been more helpful. No car park but very reasonable priced on right behind hotel.
