Rob and Mary looked after us very well. We parked in front of the hotel, and left the car there for the rest of the holiday... There was so much within walking distance - even a multiplex cinema. The trams were great too. The tower / shopping areas were also within walking distance.
The hotel was quite big - 2 knocked into 1. Lounge, pool table (Rob is a pro), Dining area, bar / games room. Double glazing all round.
Our room had all the usual amenities (en suite toilet / shower room, remote control free view TV, tea making facility). The bed was very comfortable with a thick quilt. It was regularly cleaned. The hot water was fine and the shower was electric - so no problem there.
Breakfast was cereals, orange juice, full English (or whatever you asked for, within reason), lots of toast with tea / coffee.
Rob is the late night porter / bar man / comic while Mary is an early riser doing the breakfasts.
The lounge had a nice big telly and very comfy leather sofa / seats.
We didn't spend much time in the bar. It had all the drinks we wanted.
I never got around to using the pool table but it's probably in fine working order considering Rob's such an expert at the sport.
We had a good honeymoon, weather permitting. Good friendly hotel - home from home.
