“Excellent Value”

We booked this hotel for a stopover on our way from Southern England to Edinburgh mainly because of the price. We found the hotel to be of a very high standard with lots of facilities. The room was fine (if a little dark) with new tv and high quality fittings. Clean and comfortable we found this excellent value. Breakfast was a buffet with both hot and cold choices and many of them Pleasent staff who made us welcome - thanks

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the Golf course and was very quiet

hotel lovely although partner thought it a little bit dark in the rooms compared to the last time we stayed but i thought they were very nice. New outdoor heated pool is great as is the indoor pool with sauna and steam rooms. The breakfast was really nice but get there no later than 8.30 or you will wait a while to get seated. The italian inside 'BUCA', serves really lovely food but if not in with hotel deal it works out expensive to eat there. The pub in the hotel serves food aswell and is cheaper. We went to the Harvester pub just outside of Blackpool serves great food at great prices..highly recommended. An added touch to the hotel is Starbucks which we went to and serves food aswell as great coffee. Blackpool would now of held little appeal if it had not have been for this lovely hotel. Ignore any bad remarks and go see for yourself. Tea tray, hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room which i did not know so great for our next visit. Has everything you need here. Beds really really comfortable aswell.

Room Tip: go on trivargo site and get good deal that includes first night with dinner

Arrived Sun day 7th for 2 night break. Hotel very modern and clean and Family Plus room was huge with 2 double beds and double sofa bed. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we asked for a quiet room, which we were given, thankfully, although there were no functions on whilst we we there. Downside was lighting in bathroom making it hard to shave/apply make up etc.
Evening meal was included in package but was in the Italian Restaurant and we dont really like italian food and there were no alternatives. We would have been better eating an early evening meal in the Victory Pub, where you could get 2 delicious burgers with trimmings for £10 , or 2 main meals for £12 up to 5.00 pm. There is also a Starbucks for the usual snacks.
Didnt use the pools but they looked lovely and apparently the outside pool was even warmer than the inside!
The hotel was 10 min drive (£10 ish in taxi) from Blackpool itself, so gave the option of seeing the sights, or just chilling on one of the terraces enjoying the lovely views.
Yes, enjoyed our break, and would return, probably next summer.

Stayed here with my partner and our 4 month old baby boy, our first trip away since he was born. Had a fabulous time, so much to do you dont even need to leave the Hotel (although we did to go the zoo). Staff were really friendly and welcoming, room was great, bed soooo comfy and a lovely cot for my baby. Food was great, did wait a while at the bar but it was really busy and surely thats a good sign isnt it?? Seems like people only come on her to complain so thought it would be nice for me to say something positive. We will defo be back :)

Room Tip: Ask if free upgrade available on arrival

We stayed in the Herons Reach hotel for our anniversary last year when it was a De Vere Hotel it was amazing so we thought we would return this year but when we looked on the internet we noticed that the village had now taken over. When we got there the rooms were dull and dark, the bathroom had not been cleaned, and the lesiure facilities were not up to standard. I would of recommended this hotel to everyone when it was the De Vere hotel but now i would not go back it was not worth the money that we payed.

We booked this hotel as a last minute get away at £89.00 for B&B.
As we a approached the hotel we all thought, this looks impressive, and it was.
We checked in early and this was not a probably, and made our way to our room 362.
On arrival at the room we thought it was tastefully decorated, but small as there were three of us.The window had child locks on it, and it would only open an inch, and the room was boiling, We did get a fan from reception sent up, no problem.
We were given a double, and a chair sofa bed, but we had booked a twin and chair sofa bed. The hotel was fully booked so nothing could be done.
We went straight down to the out door pool which was fabulous, and the weather was glorious.
We ate in the Italian restaurant which was OK food wise, but someone should sort out the dirty crockery issue it was very off putting. We visited the victory pub staff friendly, but not enough staff on, so the place was not clean, glasses everywhere food on the floor etc. The hotel was clean, only the restaurant and pub I had issues with.
Breakfast was great in the restaurant staff very efficient when it came to seating us and serving drinks, It was a self service buffet with something for everyone, Over all great value for money, and I would return. There were a few issues which I have raised, but these could easily be resolved.
