Your paying £20 for a b&b to stay for a night out in blackpool, you are not paying £200 for a posh hotel.., if you want a clean room with comfy beds and a relaxed party atmosphere stay here. If you want the ritz pay for it and go there.
Yeah the bar wasn't the nicest, but your surely not planning on spending your evening there are you? The rooms are fine, nothing special but clean and decent for £20. Can't comment on breakfast as was way too hanging for that!

I was part of a group of 20 who stayed at this hotel in May 2014 for 1 night. On our way one of our group looked on here at the reviews and we were all pretty apprehensive of what it would be like.
We arrived and at first were pretty jubious about it as it looked abit scruffy.
HOWEVER
Once we got inside the 2 guys who run it were lovley. Really friendly and chatty and nice guys. We sorted out our rooms, which were basic, but served the needs for our group. Clean beds, ok bathrooms and as I say the staff were great.
We assembled outside to head into Blackpool and the older guy brought us all a beer out! What a nice jesture! We all agreed that after we had been out for food etc we would chill and have a drink in the bar area which was done out like a pub. Well...what a night!
The guys put Karaoke on for us, their bar was very reasonably prices with plenty of space for us all, a pool table etc. We had a cracking night murdering karaoke songs and drinking with friends and indeed the 2 guys from the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble.

Overall a cheap, pleasant stay - Would go again!

Booked this hotel at the beginning of April through Bookings.com but when we arrived the manager didn't expect us and did not have the 3 rooms we had booked and had confirmation for. He did however have another hotel not currently in use which he said he could offer us when his wife could make the rooms up. He offered us a complimentary drink from the bar. We had to wait two and a half hours before we were able to get into the rooms at the Agar Hotel which made us late for our planned birthday meal that night. I think we got the best deal because we were shocked at how run down and untidy the Northland was. I would not recommend it to anyone and would certainly never stay there in the future.

This hotel was very cheap and perfectly adequate for our one night stay. It could obviously benefit from renovation but as far as our party group was concerned it met all our advance criteria- clean, cheap and good location. The staff were friendly and helpful and for the price we paid we would def come back and stay again.

Room Tip: the staff allowed us to browse vacant rooms and decide which we prefered.

For the price you pay, you couldn't ask for more. Me and two friends stayed at this hotel for one night on the town. We had a great laugh with the staff. The room and beds were clean, shower was hot. All these other reviews expect the ritz but your not gonna get that for the price you pay. For saying their like the house of horrors is unfair, they are just decent down to earth people who are good to get on with the place had a good atmosphere. The lady there would bend over backwards to help you. Thanks for an enjoyable stay, but some Kyle on next time lol.
