“Fantastic fun filled weekend had by all”
Reviewed 12 December 2013 via mobile

This was my 5th visit to the bond in 4years, it gets better every time the staff very friendly and accommodate all our needs, as carers (not care workers) graham, Shaun, Ian and Steve really do put themselves out to make sure we have a chance to relax and be ourselves as we don't get chance to do that back home, the food is fab and really like the serve yourself option which enables you to have as much or little as you choose, although the hotel may look a little tired and in need of refurb as I've read in some of the reviews it doesn't stop us having a great time, the evening entertainment is always fab too and they always involve all of the guest, we have made great friends not only with the staff but also other guest who we keep in touch with and also meet up with at the bond every year, can't fault the bond at all it's the best place I've ever been to and already saving to return again in February 2014, if your looking for a fun filled relaxing time with fab food, staff and entrainment then the bond hotel is the place to be!!

Hi Bevie,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review about your 5th stay at the Bond Hotel, we are delighted to hear that you enjoy your time with us. During the past 6 weeks a lot of work has been carried out in the hotel bedrooms/bathrooms to refit them for the upcoming season. I am sure you will enjoy the refurbished bedrooms on your next holiday.

Wow just had the most enjoyable holiday ever at the bond . from the time we arrived to the time we left nothing was too much trouble for graham the manager and his great team of staff . the hotel is perfect for a fun holiday with your service user needing care and support . the food was excellent we did congratulate the chef ,the entertainment was great vicky la plume had us in stitches and the singers were great at getting everyone to join in . there was a very touching moment when one of the carers sang frank sinatras my way with the person that she was supporting it brought me to tears and as a carer myself it made me realise what a wonderfull fullfilling job that as carers we do so if you are fun loving and want a fun filled holiday for your service user the bonds the place for you . This hotel may have adaptations for disabled guests but the rest of the hotel is not up to the standard of the cost to us of £715 for 3 people for 3 nights. The Premier room was scruffy, which was musty smelling, had holes in the ceiling, the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The wet room was filthy, it was that bad we couldn't bring ourselves to get a shower. My wife and me brought our disabled daughter to give what we thought would be a great holiday for her but we had to leave a day early as it was terrible. The food was not the best, with a choice of 3 mains and 2 puddings, the breakfast was probably the best thing we ate while their. The Dining room Manager was very rude to guests and staff, not very professional at all. However the staff were very helpful and polite. The entertainment was very poor, even the star of the show Jason Elvis had to have a whip round as he wasn't being paid? Warning DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL.

Dear Mike,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your stay at the Bond Hotel, we take all feed back seriously and act upon any areas where we feel our service to you may be lacking. Following your stay we have completely refurbished the rooms you were staying in, including a full bathroom refit, new furniture and carpets along with full redecoration of the bedroom.

I am sorry to hear that we haven't provided the level of service we strive for on your break and please rest assured that the issues mentioned have all been rectified during our winter refurbishment.

We are slightly confused as to why you are under the impression that our cabaret acts are not being paid. Jason has performed on a few occassions at the hotel to perfect his act and this was not done free of charge, I feel this is a misunderstanding somewhere along the way.

Very poor accommodation and not clean.staff friendly entertainment good ,food average. The hotels fabric requires modernisation and refurbishment, good access for disabled to mail areas but corridors narrow and some exits very difficult.

Room Tip: Need to wait for a refurbishment

Hi Sue,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your stay at the Bond Hotel, all feedback is readily welcomed in order to improve our service for our guests. Following your stay we have carried out a full winter refurbishment. The corridors in the hotel are certainly wide enough to cater for 99% of wheelchairs we encounter, if we are aware that guests use wheelchairs that are wider we do always recommend our ground floor rooms for a first visit.

Hi Gary,

Whilst we do thank everyone who takes the time to write a review regarding their time at the Bond Hotel your review has confused us slightly, we have level access throughout the hotel and there are no ramps, I feel you may have stayed at a different hotel. The Bond Hotel is a fully accessible hotel with every bathroom being a full wet floor shower room, a full range of mobility equipment available, specialist diets catered for and even a care agency that works alongside the hotel to provide support for guests who need additional assistance. There is another hotel in Blackpool with a similar name and I feel you have stayed at that hotel and meant to review them from certain points you mentioned. If you would like to visit the Bond Hotel and require we are located on the South Shore in Blackpool just behind the Pleasure Beach.

Kindest Regards
Karen
