“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2013

An excellent place to visit for the weekend as it away from the noisy end of Blackpool while still having easy access to the city centre via the tram line which is only a short walk away. The owners, Rick and Jan, are extremely nice and helpful and even though our group was quite large, they still managed to accommodate us all. The room we had (7) was excellent and well kept, shower and toilet area was clean and tidy and the beds nice and comfy. There’s even a bar on the bottom floor, complete with pool table and a TV in case there’s any news to catch up on.
Would highly recommend staying here and I plan to visit again next year.

Fantastic hotel, lovely hosts, really didn't want to go back home after my stay :-) most definately planning another week away and will be staying here again, also can't think of many more places that have both a fruit machine and pool table in they're bars top notch!

Room Tip: Any, they're all great!

I would like to say a big thank you to the owners rick and jan . This was a quick visit for a weekend away. I initially booked this hotel because of the reviews. The hosts amazing . Friendly . Hospitable and decent people . Room slept the 5 of us and 2 tvs and plenty tea coffee and biscuits . Clean beds . Nice breakfast . In nice quiet side of blackpool. With no hen or stag do noise to keep you up .what more can a family ask for. We enjoyed the mile walk into town and had a 9 year who managed it . If too far with young ones tram over the road , but a real home from home . Dogs allowed as well .normally wouldn't touch a place knowing that but you wouldn't have even known and they weren't wandering all over in allocated areas . Truly delightful place . Will be back . Thanks ... John . Karen kids x

Room Tip: Excellent. Family room sleeps 5 .at push could sleep 6 maybe a consideration to ownersx

was very welcoming and pleasant when we arrived, bed was very comfortable with en suite bathroom also tv and kettle in room with tea/coffee but what I found was a nice touch was a fridge outside your room with fresh cold milk for you to help yourself to and cans of juice n snacks which was all 50p each if u wanted anything (milk was free) overall enjoyed our stay.

Stayed with my wife, daughter, son-law and two children for one night. Well looked after, rooms clean and we could not have been better looked after. Breakfast excellent. Would recommend to anyone and would certainly stay again.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now. The 1st time in December when Rick & Jan were quite new to the hotel and the 2nd at the end of May. The hotel has had many of it's rooms redecorated and refurbed, the differences are amazing. Rick and Jan are brilliant hosts and were always available if I needed anything.
We loved the breakfast and the 'goodie fridge' at the top of the stairs with the honesty pot ....it came in handy when we had the midnight munchies.
This hotel is ideally situated for a quiet break or a more hectic break as it's right on the tram stop to go into Blackpool.
We actually found the ambience in 'Rick's Bar' was more favourable than going in to Blackpool and less expensive.
