Stayed here around October time in the half term with two children. from the outside it is a big hotel and looks quite modern. soon as we walked in they told us we could check in at 11 then they told us our room wasn't ready so we was waiting around in the reception for a while which wasn't the best I have seen but wasn't too bad. we finally was allowed to go to our room but it is a large hotel and we had no idea where we was going and they didn't even help so when we finally got there we asked we realised we didn't get the room we asked for which was disappointing but we was only staying for one night so we didn't complain. The room was small and crampt and couldn't move around much and there was stains all over the floors and walls and was not clean at all. we didn't want to stay in the room any longer so we went down to the bar which was small and dark but this hotel is really good to keep kids busy it has a swimming pool, cinema and an arcade. the hotel isn't close to anything in Blackpool but there is a bus stop and a tram stop just outside the hotel which I thought was very good and useful. when we finally all got to sleep which was a long time it is really warm and stuffy and really crampt it was noisy and could hear everything that was going on. after having a late night we was woken up by a fire alarm!!! by the time we got out the room it had gone off now so just got changed and was going to go down for breakfast which was going to be free there was no where to sit, there was a few tables which had not been cleaned so we just decided we would go a café for breakfast it didn't look nice the food either. We had to be out of our room for 10 which I found really early! the hotel its self is not bad it just needs to be decorated and cleaned.

Room Tip: I would recommend one on the back of the hotel because it was noisy from the front. However, the vie...

Visited only as it was the venue for a conference, hopefully it will have a complete refurb or a new venue will be found next year. Sheets felt damp, the heating was controlled by the hotel so not on at all during the day, the 'executive' room had a tiny window which overlooked bins, furniture was old, tatty and unmatched, there was a constant unpleasant smell throughout the hotel. The entertainment area was a joke, a tatty curtain across a window with a platform where girls 'performed'. The only saving graces were the self service restaurant where the food was varied, hot and plentiful, and wifi which was supposedly only available in the public room but worked in the bedroom.
It may be inexpensive but I can't think of one reason why anyone would want to stay here.

Room Tip: Booked a room in the 'new' wing as they're said to be more spacious (but we didn't s...

Please take the time to read our experience and we hope you change or rebook your accommodation in Blackpool.
When we arrived the hotel looked very nice from outside but from the second you touch the unclean glass of the front door it rapidly goes down hill. When you enter you feel like you step back in time to the 1930s. Reception area was unclean and unwelcoming.
Once we were over the shock we were met by relatively friendly reception staff who unfortunately didn't know the lay out of the hotel and sent us, bags and children on a 20 min clueless trip looking for our room. I am still confused how 97 looks like 297. At last we figured out what part of hotel we were in and proceeded to our room. This itself should be guided by Laura Croft from tomb raider as corridors were narrow dim, up, down, left, right then taa daa we found our room.
On entering our room we can only imagine that this is what its felt like to stay at Blackpool in 1930s. Nothing matched, furniture was old and made my husband feel quite sick with the elaborate color scheme. TV needed binoculars and was interesting to use once finger to change channels(blast from the past no remote control) and completely confused my 14 year old daughter as to why there was no internet(holiday ruined). The beds were probably the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on! All of my family had a very very bad night sleep.
There isn't enough space in this paragraph to describe the cleanliness, so we move on.
Due to the very uninviting atmosphere of the room we decided to explore.
We decided to take advantage of the bar and entertainment facilities provided. The kids disco was fun although for the life of me I cannot understand why they sold swords and lazier sticks to all the kids(at a rip of cost £5) as all the children proceeded to attempt to kill each other and any elderly person sat near the center stage. The entertainment was shabby and almost embarrassing.
If you do wish to go for a quite beer you can go without your kids to the hotels bar. But please don't!Its dirty, overpriced, understaffed and very unwelcome! The toilet near the bar can only be described as disgusting.
Now the good points. Breakfast was Great!
The End.

Came to stay at the Norbreck for a weekend to celebrate my Birthday with my boyfriend, The people in the next room was screaming ,swearing. shouting , running up and down the corridor all night. It went quiet at 3.45 in the morning. The hotel did not seem to care it was happening on all the other floors to after we spoken to other people that was staying on different floors. Felt sorry for people staying with children.

We have written repeatedly to the management at the hotel and also to the CEO to tell them about out complaint. Apart from a brief email from a Manager offering a night at the hotel...and there is no way we would ever go back... we have been ignored... no one has the courtesy to contact us .. we took my 92 year old father there for a couple of days as he had stayed there many years before with my mother... and wanted to relive the memories. The hotel was dirty... rooms were disgusting... his room more like a cupboard......stay away......
