just come back from a weekend here, suppose to stay 2 nights, just stayed the one....the girl on reception was very rude offering no help at all( she had black hair tied back with a lot of make-up,. my partner needs a wheelchair adapted room , which was booked but she only had twin bedded room available, he had booked a double room...ok mistakes happen, but she was just so rude, and she was talking so loud that all the other guests checking in could hear our business. i didnt want to stay purely because of this girls attitude, but we decided to stay that one night then check out the following morning.....the hotel is very outdated, the caberet room looked like something from the 1920s era and the room dated and dusty...we did get up early for breakfast but the queue to the dining room was massive...so decided to give it a miss...the view from the room was of a old disused pond full of green water with a few scotch eggs floating in it....we checked out and stayed the rest of the weekend at the travelodge blackpool south...which was a 100 percent improvement...

What the title says... You basically get what you pay for. We pre booked out rooms over the phone for wkend of 14/15 June'14. £45 for a double sea view room with an en-suite bathroom. On out arrival the hotel looks very grand from the outside. We loved it. Reception wasn't so bad either. When checking in we were advised that the hotel had over booked people staying in the hotel on the Saturday night so knocked £10 off our rooms. The room we had booked had a cot in apparently and small children take priority. Ok then yeah no problem we thought? How disappointed we were when we opened the door to our room. Dated and dirty. Old wooden furniture I'd expect to see in an auction of some kind with a basic square box TV only offering 3 channels when promised a modern TV with free view. Would describe the bed linen as dirty hospital sheets. The en-suite was full of dirt around the bath and taps. Hairs were everywhere. Stained bedroom carpets. Curtains were full of dust. Extremely Red hot noisy pipes running around the skirting boards. This posing a serious health and safety issue especially for children!!! No air conditioning, asked staff for fans but they politely advised that the hotel didn't offer these. Out window over looked a noisy factory full of disgusting rubbish and pigeons and vermin! Knocked me sick!! The breakfast the next morning was horrible. All warmed up in something I remember queuing up for in primary school (about 20 years ago now). The sausages absolutely vile!! The only good comment I can give the entire place is friendly and polite staff! We defiantly will not be staying again. Advice for Britannia... Shut the place and give it a massive refurb!!

Where do I really start?! We spent 3 nights here for an army reunion, my disabled friend was allocated a room on the first floor! How was he supposed to evacuate had there been a fire???! Breakfast was terrible- over cooked. Evening meal- bland. Gala ball- powder soup- just add water for the starter, for a start too much water had been added! Frozen Aunt Bessie's Roast potatoes, processed meat, tinned veg and watery gravy, I know that it is a big hotel but come on we were charged £35 pp for that! I can't even say that quantity compromised quality because it just didn't. The room was outdated and dirty. The view from our window was a green stagnant pool/ pond of some sort. That was my first and final stay at the Norbreck. Hugely disappointed!!

Aside from it's exterior this was a great hotel to visit. The staff were friendly, food was superb and rooms were tidy and well presented. Sure they are on the old side, but some of the reviews I read prior to visiting seem totally off the mark! I was more than happy with our stay, the tram stops right opposite the building, so travel wise it is ideally located, and is a good distance away from the bars, so noisy punters aren't an issue. A 2 minute walk takes you to the beach entrance, with a good view if you face the coast. If you are expecting the Ritz then you will be disappointed, so expect a character filled building with age to it. The interior is fantastic, it has a creepy Overlook Hotel (from Stephen King's 'The Shining') feel to it, but that adds to the character for me. The pool area is immaculate, and spa facilities are just what you'd expect for the price. The check-out service offers a drop box if you want express check-out. Parking can get a little cramped, so get there early.

Room Tip: Parking can get a little cramped, so get there early. Ask for a coast view room, or you'll get...

Booked a trip to london central, did not get tickets untill 3 days before departure, hotel offered was way outside central london.
Coach left 30 mins late, stopped 3 times instead of once for a group of hen party to smoke.
They were all drinking on coach (not allowed but driver welcomed it)
Arrived at hotel 3pm , supposed to arrive at london 1pm to do shopping and then pick bags from coach then go to hotel, none of this happened.
Did not sleep at hotel till 4am because we were put in room next to store cupboard where maids were in and out all night.
We were so exhausted we spent £70 pounds to get train home.
But the worst thing is that when we phoned leisure time on return we were refused access to speak to manager and were told to put comlaint in writing, which we did two weeks ago. NO REPLY.
