“Blackpool in January”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

we arrived Friday midday to find our room was ready for us even though we were earlier than expected. the hotel was fully booked for the weekend but still the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. we have stayed at this hotel in January for the last few years and will continued to do so. we have stayed in other hotels in Blackpool in the past but having found this hotel we come back every year.

had a two night stay over the weekend and must admit that it was the special rates that first attracted me but now that i have stayed i was very impressed with both the rooms and the service check in went very well and given good information about all the facilities and everything that was on offer good car parking on site and close enough to the centre of blackpool weather was awful but hey we were not on holiday it was a weekend break in february the breakfast buffet was very good and varied and catered for all choices i would recommend this hotel

Large, monolithic brick block, but friendly inside. Ten minute brisk walk to centre. Good car park. Staff efficient and polite. Had a dip in the pool, very nice. Good buffet breakfast with the usual vast array including haggis and whisky for the porridge! One evening I had a bar meal which was delicious. Room spacious and clean but the bathroom needed renovation. The shower is over the bath which I do not like. The weather was foul and I arrived in a similar mood but soon mellowed. Overall a good hotel

We stayed at he Hilton hotel for a 4 night stay. We got the rooms we requested and the view was very decent to say the least, also the pub was on a ten minute walk and the children stayed busy. Staff was very polite and helpful, we were accommodated as if we were at home, my wife and I had plenty to do as the hotel was not very far from pleasure beach itself which again was fun for the kids. The room was very neat and tidy but unfortunately the toilet was being refurbished nevertheless this was not a problem. The price was decent for four people, also the indoor pool and health club spa sort of thing kept my wife busy. Therefore overall I would have to say that the stay was extravaganzic and extremely accommodating . Thank you very much.

We asked to be on a higher rather than lower level. And were allocated a room on seventh floor which had a noisy window as it was blowing a gale outside. We asked for another room, and was moved immediately by very helpful and polite staff. The second room was we think awaiting refurbishment, but was still acceptable. The food (D/B&B) was exceptional and the service from all areas of staff was excellent. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Refurbishment from top down, less traffic noise the higher you go.

The hotel rooms (mainly bathroom) could do with refurbishment but overall the hotel is well kept. The breakfast selection and layout is very nice. Didn't use the health facility's so I can't comment. Location is a little far out but there is a tram stop just outside as well as a bus stop. If you do not want to stay in a bed and breakfast the Hilton would be a nice alternative.
