My family (2 adults 1 4 year old) stayed at the Hilton for 1 night in August for a visit to the Pleasure Beach.

The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful.

The room was very tired looking although for a 1 night break it was acceptable but certainly not 4 star. I would have to say that the rooms shower was the worst shower I have used in a hotel. It had no pressure at all and I found washing my hair a nightmare.

We used the pool and was not impressed by it at all. To start with when we arrived the pool was being used for swimming lessons. We found it quite a squash in the changing rooms fighting for space with other mothers trying to get their children ready. The pool and surrounding areas just looked grotty. It needs a real refurbishment ASAP! The leisure staff were great and were very child friendly.

We didnt eat in the hotel at night but did enjoy the buffet breakfast. The hot and cold food were of a good standard but I would recommend avoiding the busy times between 09.00 and 10.00 as it was quite busy and not great for a relaxing breakfast.

Overall I dont think I would return here unless it had some work to bring it up to date.

We visit Blackpool every year and this was the best hotel by far that we have stayed at. The food at breakfast was of very good quality and the Spa is a must to visit. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. the only drawback is that you sometimes have to wait a long time for the lifs.

My wife and I have just spent five days at the Hilton Blackpool.
We have stayed several times previous to this visit and yet again we both enjoyed our stay.
The room was very clean and comfy. Breakfast was excellent and Dinner first class. The staff are always very polite and very helpful.
Although it is situated about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the town there is a tram stop 2 minutes from the hotel. Although it may not be the cheapest hotel to stay at in Blackpool the prices are very reasonable and in my opinion excellent value for money. If you want to relax then this is the place to stay.

Very poor catering for a vegetarian family - one choice, and that was not very tasty, even salade bar had many salads with meat in. Children's buffet unimaginative, and the only choice for veggy children was a dry tomato and cheese pizza. An over eager waiter, pacing around watching us to leave a plate so it could be immediately collected - made us all feel uncomfortable. Children's entertainment in height of summer holidays was cancelled - with no back up plan. Disappointing!

run down furniture, had an cold and unwelcoming feeling. the wardrobe was falling apart and the curtains were not movable. The location from the pleasure beach was quite far away. There was an additional parking charge which i was told was included. the only enjoyable aspect of the hotel was the quality of the breakfast

I was pleased to hear you enjoyed the breakfast however I was concerned to hear overall you did not enjoy your stay. We are hoping to restart our bedroom and bathroom refurbishment programme in the near future in order that we may bring all of our rooms up to the same standard. I am sorry we did not have a recently refurbished room to allocate to you as we were running at full occupancy levels. Thank you for your feedback this is important to us.

couldn't ask for better views from a room, straight out onto blackpool's north beach. nice well equipped room, friendly staff and good food. unfortunately there was a wedding on that night and there is little if any soundproofing between the ballroom and the lower floors, at times we thought we were at the reception, actually the band wasn't all that good. we also discovered that the smokers from the ballroom go outside on the beach side verandah to smoke, if you have your window open on the second or third floor at that end the smell isn't great, nor is the noise as the smoking wedding guests drank more. pity it really spoilt what was otherwise a nice stay

Room Tip: if it's a weekend watch out for weddings and get as high a floor as possible, road noise is also...

I was pleased to hear you enjoyed the location and the wonderful sea view. I apologise if noise from a wedding reception disturbed you and the smell of smoke travelled to your room from the outside area. The hotel is completely non-smoking with a designated outside smoking area. Thank you for your feedback I have taken on board your comments.

I was concerned to hear you did not enjoy your stay. There are many different room types to book and different rates available. The duty manager would have been able to confirm the room booking details that were booked for you. I apologise the noise from the wind on the windows disturbed you during high winds and inclement weather conditions particulary on the sea front. I have taken on board your comments and feedback, this is most important to us.
