Description: Found close to the famous beachside promenade of Blackpool, Bella Italia on Blackpool's Church Street offers good quality Italian food at more than reasonable prices. Part of the nationwide chain of Bella Italia restaurants, this Church Street outlet in the very heart of Blackpool is always busy, attracting both locals and visitors in equal measure. The wide and varied menu offers a whole host of dishes such as 'Penne Marco Polo' (duck breast in plum sauce with mushrooms, spring onions and penne pasta) or the 'Pollo Piccantina' pizza (topped with sweet roasted peppers, spicy chicken breast, smoked mozzarella, onions and fresh chillies). Seating just over 100, Bella Italia Blackpool Church Street is able to accommodate large groups for a fun evening, but also has smaller tables for a more intimate occasion.

Having vieved the centenary illuminations on a warm late October evening, most places to eat were very busy. We have dined here many times before on visits to Blackpool and the sister restaurant in Victora St is also good.

Although the restaurant very busy, we were quickly found a table and all was well up to the standard we have come to expect and very reasonably priced too, as is the wine list.

Went here for lunch whilst on Blackpool for a bit of shopping and to see a show. Went at lunch time and got seated straight away. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My friend is a vegetarian but was well catered for and she said her meal was totally delish. My meal was also and washed it down with a lovely glass of wine. I have a Tastecard which i was able to use here and got one of the meals for free which was even better

Always try to use this branch as its smaller and quieter than the other branch in Blackpool.
Excellent staff on duty this afternoon and the one guy who went off his shift whilst we were in the restaurant even came over and said goodbye.
Only downside of the visit was their was no diet coke available and I was only offered normal coke as an alternate.
Not A great help if I had been A diabetic. But apart from that A really nice meal out.

Normally I'd avoid chains like Bella Italia thinking they weren't much different to a Pizza Hut but being in Blackpool and needing somewhere nearby having listed exited the Tower Circus (great!) we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised by our meal. To start we shared a platter of Antipasti of breads, meats, curse and olives all of which was more than acceptable and NOT fridge cold which has ruined many a more expensive selection of salami!

The mains were as you'd expec, being mainly pizza and pasta but the Calzone Carne was lovely, with a good bread base, freshly made and a great garlic & olive oil hit. My lamb ragu with egg pasta was a the true revelation though; fresh egg pasta cooked perfectly with good sized pieces of tender flavourful lamb in a rather delicious red wine sauce - way, way better than I was expecting.

To finish it seems Bella Italia have taken Pizza Express's lead and offer mini puddings with a shot of espresso which it's a great idea. All washed down with a half decent keenly priced Monteplucino. It was a busy night being half term in Blackpool but the service was excellent, we couldn't fault it.
