Myself and my auntie stayed at the Franklyn Fri to Sun 20 to 22 June. The hotel was very clean. Our room was for 3 people and was a good size. The bed that I slept in was one of the comfyist I have ever slept in. The breakfast was really good and was served at what time you chose. We ordered an evening meal for the Sat which was very good. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel was very good just about 2 mins from the tower and shops. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Room Tip: We had room no 1

I recently visited Blackpool for the weekend for my birthday with two of my friends, we stayed here at the Franklyn Hotel. This hotel is exactly what you need for a fun weekend away, it's very clean, a great central location, the staff are so friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! It is a small family run hotel and has a very basic room and bar area, and this is exactly what you pay for! The value for money for what you receive and where the hotel is located is absolutely brilliant! It is not a 5 star hotel, if you are looking for a posh, luxury weekend then it's not for you, however, Blackpool is not somewhere that you would spend a lot of time in your room so for a weekend of drinking and partying, it is perfect, so I feel that it should not be reviewed as one! Karen and Iain who run the hotel made us feel very welcome, gave us our own keys to allow us to come and go as we please and they also offered us transport from the train station if we needed it, which we felt was a lovely extra touch, we didn't need it as we were not going straight to the hotel, however instead of searching for a hotel that you are unsure of the location, this would have been perfect, had we needed it! The room was stocked with tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and irons etc can be requested if needed. The next time we visit Blackpool for the weekend we will definitely stay here again, after the service we received, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Karen and Iain, we had a ball, and will be back :) x

Myself and two friends stayed at the Franklyn for two nights. Staff were really helpful from when we first booked to when we left. Room was clean and tidy and perfect base to explore blackpool. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty (thanks for the poached eggs Iain!). Location was perfect. good 5/10 minutes walk and your near the hounds hill shopping centre, We bought a resort pass which was well worth the money. included is the tower, dungeons, madame tussauds, sealife and pleasure beach. I would definately stay at the franklyn hotel again. Thank you Iain and Karen for helping make our blackpool trip a fab one!! Sue, Tania & Lisa :-)

This b&b has to be one of the best I have ever stayed in, the owners are such friendly people and make you feel at home. Great value for money. We stayed in room 1 which has a small double bed and a single and en-suite. Was a bit cramped for the 2 of us but nothing to complain about. Breakfast was amazing, well worth the money and everything cooked perfectly and good quality products used. Close to the seafront, was about a 5 minute walk and local to all attractions i.e Blackpool Tower, Sea Life & Madame Tussaud's. Will be returning to the Franklyn next time we return to Blackpool.

Room Tip: Room 1 is fine for a family or 3 people but a little cramped for a couple. Bed pushed right against...

Family of 4 stayed for 2 nights. Free (limited) parking. Arrived earlier in the day than expected, was no problem. We were able to leave the car parked after checking out so we could make the most of the last couple of hours in Blackpool. Stayed in a family room with en suite, a double bed and a bunk bed with a double and single (so can sleep 5). Room was clean. Breakfast coked to order plus cereals/tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. Service/hospitality was excellent. Evening meal available on request. There is a small bar and prices are very reasonable. B & B was chosen as was very close to Merlin attractions (we are pass holders), only a 5/10 minute walk. Co op round the corner, various kebab/fish chip shops close by. Walls were a little thin and there was a fan that came on in the bathroom when you turn the light on but these were just tiny issues - just being picky now! A fab experience. Would stay here again and would reccommend to anyone. Thank you. Mr & Mrs Stirton

Room Tip: Choose a room with an en suite
