While the hotel looks grand from the outside the interior is dated and well worn.
The pictures of the spa look nice enough on the website but again the facilities are well used.
The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly.
More than suitable if you just want somewhere to stay but not one if your trying to impress.

Great location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice leisure facilities. Everywhere very clean but some little things in the room and leisure club looked a little shabby, but probably just due to the size of the hotel it must take a lot of updating!

Cannot understand why anybody would give a bad review to this splendid hotel. We stayed at the end of October. There was a problem with the door key to our room which the hotel manager "Alison" resolved immediately giving us an alternative room on the 3rd floor close to the lift with superb views of the seafront. All members of staff were very polite and professional. We slept in the biggest, most comfortable bed I have ever seen! Breakfast offered a huge selection of good quality produce. We would recommend this establishment very highly.

Very welcoming staff, nothing was any trouble. Good ambiance everywhere in the hotel. Lancaster room and no 10 bar not to be missed. I remember those Prime Ministers at party conferences on the television.

All my wife and I wanted to do was escape for a few days and chill out!
We certainly did that and returned home refreshed thanks to the Imperial Hotel and its staff. On arrival a young lady on the front desk was demonstrating the "patience of a saint" with a group of ladys staying together who did not know who was sharing with who and didn't even know one anothers name! still the said young lay sorted them out. Our stay was faultless. Welcoming friendly staff, excellent food and service. If you were considering a stay, book with confidence! We'll be back. Thankyou.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Sept - have to say I was a bit apprehensive about staying here after reading previous reviews but there was no need - old fashioned, grand hotel with wide staircases and corridors. Nice pool with sauna, steam room and JacuzzI, open til 10pm too which was good for is as we had been out all day it was good to go in the pool after as some hotels shut their facilities early. We arrived early about 1230 but luckily our room was early so got to check in then. They charge for parking at £3.50 per night but not too bad as it was in walking distance to all of Blackpool's main attractions, our car never moved the whole stay (prob a good thing as the car park was tight for spaces in the evening!) and they let us leave the car til teatime on the day we checked out for no extra charge too which was good as parking in Blackpool centre is very expensive (£12 for 15 hours any where even on side to the road)
It's about 15-20 mins walk to tower. Didn't have dinner in hotel as plenty places to eat very cheaply in Blackpool
Breakfast was great, lots to eat as much as you like buffet - cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurts, fruit, toast, and the full works fry up, loads of different juices. All very tasty
Room was nice but the window frame paint was all cracked and coming off but that was the only downside. We hada room at the side with view of sea and car park on 2nd floor (good for keeping an eye on my car and weather coming in!)
Overall a nice stay and would stay again if in Blackpool.

Acceptable if very dated accommodation. Good, if small, pool for the kids. On-the-whole friendly staff. Restaurant food and service unfortunately the weakest link.....dreadful.....like a pantomime being acted out. Keep expectations in toe and you may be alright.
