This is was the 3rd time we'd been to De-lovely in 2013 (or the 1st of 2014!) and we had a fantastic time, one of the best NYE we've ever had. We took my Mum & Dad with us and they also had a brilliant time. From the minute we arrived to the time we left Stevie and Leigh were excellent hosts. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, it was perfect. Hogmanay itself was great fun; after a beautiful 3 course dinner we had fun, games and entertainment. Breakfast the next morning was great - Leigh's sausages hit the spot as always. New Years day we were constantly looked after and again very well fed and more entertainment on New Years night. What more could you ask for?
As other reviewers who stayed with us (hi Gary & Sam) had said we hadn't met the other guests before but due to Stevie and Leigh's excellent hosting and being able to make good fun out of next to nothing (cabbage, banana and a pair of jugs!!) we all left as friends hoping to see each other the next time we visit.
If the rest of Blackpool could get itself to 10% of how hard these lovely lads work it could be back to being a top British seaside resort. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: All rooms are perfectly clean and warm, just some are a bigger. Book the Boudoir for a special treat...

Yet again a fantastic break......We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, (the lads had really gone to town with the Christmas decorations), then it was tea, coffee, sherry & home made mince pies what ever you wanted after the journey from Doncaster..... again nothing is too much trouble for these lads....the room was spot on, nice cozy, spotlessly clean & warm........The evening meal was excellent, this was then followed by a great evening of entertainment with friends & family of Stevie & Leigh ...this lasted till 3.30am & the lads were up at the crack of dawn to make breakfast......that is dedication....the breakfast was the best ever as usual (all you can eat) & I must at this point mention Leighs famous breakfast sausage, cooked to perfection, the best ever, 2 days of 3 course meals & buffets (all this food & festive drink is going to take some working off)..... All the people there were total strangers to each other on arrival, but everyone of us left as friends, with hosts like these you can sure guarantee that you will enjoy your stay....these lads sure go the extra mile, a stay here is highly recommended...........

Room Tip: All rooms are recommended

We have been going to De-Lovely for a few years now but never stayed there through the festive period we should have done it a long time ago we did 31st dec til 2nd jan 04. well what can I say, I have never been so spoilt well fed with the breakfasts which are always gorgeous, we then had cold buffet's and in the evening we had a 3 course meal omg the food was outstanding along with the service, everything was pulled out of the hat as to make our new years eve spectacular along with new years day.
The lads worked so so hard it was just like being with the family, we had not met the other guests before, but we all came away as friends this always happens at De-Lovely's no matter what time of year we go, the rooms are just perfect and cleaned to the highest of levels, and the lads always think of the personal touch a lady needs..ie four gang plug sockets(we always take our own to other hotels) they also provide a full length mirror for you to preen in front of, as well as a small mirror so you can look at the back of your hair whilst styling it.....Stevie and Leigh are the nicest cleanest hoteliers we have ever stayed with, would highly recommend you give them a call and experience it first hand...........Thanks for a really fantastic time lads....Sam.xxxxx

Room Tip: All rooms are of a very high standard

Me and my partner stayed at the De-Lovely in the Le-Chic room, although the rooms are very small they are equipt with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable also the fluffy quilt and pillows. The owners were very friendly, carried our luggage up to our room and even brought us a drink. The breakfast was gorgeous. Would definetley recommend staying her. The location is fantastic and about a 5 min walk into the town centre.

Located nearby to 'Funny Girls' and Blackpool's many other attractions, De Lovely is an ideal choice for either a short break or longer stay. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you as you enter this delightful retreat in a convenient location on Lord Street. Instantly on arrival you will feel at home with the owners, Leigh and Steve. A welcome hot drink on arrival and bags taken up to your room is all the norm. Be as private or as chatty as you want here, it's up to you. Be yourself and you wont go far wrong. All the bedrooms (we have stayed in a variety) are absolutely spotless, as is the bar area and the dining area. LOVE the Christmas decs. LOVE Leigh's cooked brekkie and LOVE Steve's 'trifle shots' (got the ingredients ready for mum on xmas day!) in fact we LOVE de lovely! Give it a go.......

Perfect...
Just the place to go for a couples retreat..
We needed a break from work and we chose the perfect and ideal place to stay.
Stevie and Leigh were the perfect hosts.
They were both very informative re the local area, what and where to go and where to eat. Even if it was for the a coffee break.
The location is perfect. Far enough from the town re noise but can be walked in under 10 minutes.
We went Christmas shopping in the town.
And had a coffee in the beach house before we strolled back to de lovely.
The rooms were clean, warm and toastie.
The lounge and bar area were decorated lovely with matching Christmas decor...
The tea/coffee facility in the rooms is a great finishing touch.
The breakfast was fab.. Cooked to perfection.. Thank you Leigh.
Stevies serving up apron well I will let you decide as de lovely prides itself on the breakfast sausage :-)

Thank you to you both and Miss Fifi for making us feel welcome and for our stay...

Stopped here for a very enjoyable and comfortable weekend. like others have said, the hosts Steve and Lee were welcoming, amiable and attentive to our needs. The room, although small, was spotless, with all the colourful decor associated with this hotel. The breakfast served from 9 - 9:45 am (at weekends) was really good and plentiful, it set us up for the day Only slight negatives and they are minor, were, the bed was creaky and the shower pressure was not that powerful, but it served our needs and for the price we paid we would highly recommend staying here.
