“Blackpool's hidden gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

Great little hotel in the heart of Blackpool, we stayed two nights during the illuminations. Our hosts, Richard and Lynn, were very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The English breakfast was good and hearty. No problem with parking, carpark just up the road. Overall a great place to stay and real value for money.

Not a huge fan of Blackpool.

HOWEVER.....for someone who hotels a lot for work, this is a really nice find, great people, good food, nice, clean fresh room.
A little on the small size (but then I'm in Premier x nights per week), that said its ideal for an over night or weekend visit.....

Parking is ok and in keeping with the area, rates not too bad.
for a walk, turn left, 500m and you can walk up/down the front with ease.

we stayed at the seagull hotel from Monday to Friday and as a whole our stay was excellent. I stayed in a room with my friend, the room was very clean and comforting. our room was very up to date. we had an on suit bathroom, which was also kept very clean. there were new towels, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits put into our room each day. everyday we were asked by the very friendly Richard and lynne if everything in our room was okay. they were very caring, they were very very helpful in the fact that we did want to explore the different amusements around blackpool, they would advise the best amusements to see. this was the same with our nightly meal, they would advise the best places to go so we weren't left in disappointment at the time. I myself am a vegetarian, as we arrived at the seagull hotel we were asked If we were vegetarian or not and because I am, Richard very kindly went out to buy me my own linda mcartney vegetarian sausages so I had more of an option on a morning when it came to breakfast time. the prices of the bar in the hotel were reasonable and definitely affordable with a large variety of choice to drink. we were drinking down in the bar before we went out the one night and we were talking about our favourite types of drinks and me and my friend were on about a particular type of wine and to our surprise Richard and lynne had brought us this type of wine for the next night. we were very impressed and would definitely visit the seagull again. we were very happy with the seagull hotel, considering we were out exploring blackpool most of the time, we very much so enjoyed being in the hotel around Richard and lynne as they were very bubbly and happy people to be around. would definitely stay here again and would advise anyone from familys to hens and stag partys.

Room Tip: we used up three rooms and all were absolutely fine.

Read the reviews on this Hotel and decided to book a midweek stay from 10th Sept until 13th (Ugh Friday as well !!!). We had a double room with shared bathroom facilites. but as it was virtually outside our room, posed no problem. Lovely room, with Flat screen TV, tea and coffee suppiled with kettle. Bed was oh so comfortable, bedding spotless and very chique, plus you could eat off the bathroom floor. The proprietors Richard and Lyn, could not do enough and we loved the attentiveness, nice to be cosseted, if only for a few days. They have a well stocked bar, and rather surprisingly, cheap too, plus a comfortble guest lounge to relax in.
Breakfast was a huge surprise, cereals, plus a FULL English breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented and VERY HOT, plus toast etc, tea/coffee and fruit juice.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed, guarantee it !!.

Room Tip: Rather difficult, as if yu stay in the rear, it is very quiet, but Crystal Road is a side road and n...

I stayed at the Seagull Hotel with my friend, daughter and grandchildren. Linda and Richard made us welcome from the beginning to the end of our stay. They chatted and played with the kids and also had plenty of time for us adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were tastefully decorated and perfectly clean. Breakfast was lovely and there was no scrimping on what was served (we didn't have to ask for extra drinks, toast etc Linda ALWAYS asked us first). If you stay at the Seagull you will see that Linda and Richard make it their priority to give you the best customer service whilst you are there. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a home from home experience when on their holiday. Thank you Linda and Richard for taking care of us!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms in the hotel are fantastic. Ask Linda or Richard to recommend family room or...
