We went for a meal on Saturday 9th June and the restaurant was quite messy but as we were a large party we didn’t mind as they could take our table. We ordered our drinks only to be told there was no - vodka, gin- cider and the list goes on. The manager told me it was because they had been shut for a 3 day refurb. I understand that but why did the team not know this. Can I say Jason our server was fantastic in dealing with the situation. I would also like to say there was no hot or cold running water in the loos which I don’t really know how legal that is. When leaving we noticed that most of the tables had dirty plates on them so to be honest quite a poorly run restaurant management wise.
After complaining on their website they sent a generic email thanking me for the compliment - oh the only one they replied to was the compliment about pit waiter and not the complaint we made.
I replied asking for their reply only to get an email asking how they did. It's a shame when a large chain that that personal touch is lost. I'm in this game and personally own and contact every unhappy guest because as I know you cannot please everyone, but if you make sure you guest leave happy you never get bad feedback.
