Stayed here for a short break, had a lovely time in the hotel, the children loved the rooms. The staff was so helpful, my son has several allergies and it was no problem for them to cook something just for him. Anything we asked for they did there best for us. Very enjoyable stay. The Sunday carvery is excellent.

What a fantastic hotel this is.
Perfect location at the end of the mile away from the main centre of Blackpool.
Was fun having a room overlooking the pleasure beach, ride noise did not matter as my partner and i were out all day, every day.
Check in excellent and straight away after a 5 hour drive, thanks for the complimentary upgrade, made my 30th birthday extra special. Beds so comfy, plenty of space for 2 adults, could do with more hangers in the wardrobe though. Nice toiletries which kept on being replenished, plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits/water, all complimentary. Bathroom was great. Tv and dvd player was a nice touch.
Food at breakfast the same every morning, however was still excellent having the choice of continental or full English.
Can't fault this hotel in any way or the staff, definately would return in the future.

Room Tip: couples high floor, families ground floor

Myself, my Husband and 3 children booked to stay in the Superior Family room B&B for one night. Myself and My Husband have stayed here before on our own so didn't know what the family rooms were like, but just like the Deluxe rooms the standards are excellent. The childrens area is a seperate room with bunks in and a giant game of snakes and ladders on the wall with magnetic pieces and a giant dice for the children to throw. The top bunk has a tv and so does the bottom bunk which is excellent. There was a very large comfy king size bed, tea and coffee, air con, tv with freeview and a excellent view of the pleasure beach which my children loved.
The food is superb with lots of variety on the menu. The breakfast is serve yourself and is also excellent and plenty of it.
I will be going back to The Big Blue as it has everything you could possibly need or want from a seaside hotel.

I thought we would get a lot better service for our money!
Staff on reception rude and it seemed too much trouble to even speak to us, the way the tango tanned man on reception looked at us was like we were scum, after a 5 hour drive we felt like just going home. Room was on the top floor and looked ok, but after a check around we had a dirty cup on the tea tray, hairs in the bath and on the bathroom floor, rollercoasters right outside, but window was dirty, looked like it had not been cleaned in years!
TV's had a poor reception if any, and only found out we could hire games and a console when another guest mentioned it in the lift.
Wish we had saved our money and stayed at the travelodge next door!

Just got back from a great stay at the Big Blue. I absolutely loved the room, the bar, the restaurant, the fish tank and the staff and service. There is nothing to complain about! The bed is to die for!!! Had an excellent meal in the restaurant and a fabulous cocktail. Special mention to Andrea who was very helpful. On reflection perhaps I would have preferred not to be surrounded by so many children in the bar at night (maybe a cut off time) but it is the school holidays after all. We went so that we could see the ice show and would definitely go back again. Blackpool is changing for the better and the Big Blue is a big part of that. Would recommend it to anyone.

We have been visiting the Big Blue Hotel every year for the last few years and absolutely love the place !!
We visited for the weekend at the beginning of August and as usual it didn't disappoint. The service is brilliant ... the rooms plush and luxurious and the food is to die for !!
Breakfasts in the morning are plentiful and dinner in the restaurant is a real treat - and reasonably priced for the high standard !!
Thank you for a lovely stay !! We will be back again next year .... and the year after ....... : ) x
