This lovely hotel is by the sea, a train station and the Pleasure Beach. It is pretty and has great facilities. The staff are lovely and the food is good. There are two rooms on the ground floor with accessible bathrooms which is a real bonus.
The problem is that the lack of soundproofing in the ceilings means that we could hear people walking about above us. As this is such a family-friendly hotel, it has a great many children. The running and jumping above us was a real problem, though reception did stop it when they intervened at 20 past midnight on the second night. The kids were up bouncing around again at 7.30 am. I've never been in a hotel with such noise from the room above. A quieter family moved in for our third night but we could still hear them every time they walked on their floor.
This makes this hotel impossible for me to recommend which is a great shame.More
