Bought my son here for his birthday from 29 may til june 1st. We stayed in a deluxe twin room, it was on the 2nd floor and we could see the sea. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom had everything you need and was nice and clean.
Check in was swift and the staff member was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style, there was lots to choose from, continental and cooked. Hot drinks and juice were help yourself. Tables were cleared quickly and all staff members were polite and friendly.
We had booked pleasure beach tickets online before we arrived and we could get these from reception. They also give you exclusive access to the park for the first 90 minutes of it opening via the gate to the left of the hotel.
There is free car parking at the hotel.

Yet again a brilliant stay at the big blue hotel. Will definately come back and stay again at some point.

The hotel manager should be very proud of all members of staff, they are a credit to them.

Stopped here 26th-28th may. Arrived around 12pm to be told we had been upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge and even better we could check in too.
Rooms were large, beds were comfy, had air con, electric fireplace overall very modern. We also had a view of the pleasure beach.
Free car parking onsite until 1pm of day of departure, i suggest just parking across the road on the day you leave as its free there also.
Location is great, about 30 minutes walk into town and obviously right next to the pleasure beach. Prefer this as your out of the way of the town at night time.
If you have breakfast get down for 9am no later, we did see a large number of people queuing for breakfast as the hotel was very busy. Breakfast overall spot on, no complaints.
Would stay here again and recommend to anybody staying in Blackpool.
People who say they prefer a travel lodge etc because its half price? Well the Big Blue is twice the hotel.

Room Tip: get a pleasure beach view

Fantastic first stay at the Big Blue Hotel for my sons 9th birthday, wonderful room with The Big One going past our window. Bunk beds for the kids with TV's and our bed was enormous, great nights sleep. Breakfast was superb despite the wait - perhaps allocate staggered seating times ? ?
Free on site parking, tram stop at end of the road, sandcastle and pleasure beach on the doorstep.
All in all a wonderful stay and would return

Room Tip: Stayed in room 217 pleasure beach facing

We stayed from 25/05/13 to 27/05/13. We had a problem with hot water in our room 105. The operations manager Fabio Vidotti was swift to act on the problem. How ever the hot water took long to come out which was a big inconvenience for us. Fabio offered us free drinks with our meals and gave us a Big Family Ticket which covers the Tower, Sealife, Madam taussad etc. this impressed me as will recommend this hotel to anyone and will go there back again. It is also close to pleasure beach

Room Tip: The family room we stay was fab only hot water took time to come out. I hope by now its fixed

Stayed here after pleasant visit in 2011. This time as one child was over 12, we had to book deluxe room as needed full size bunks. Paid 273 which included wristbands. Hotel was no better than a premier inn (which are fine) but cost a lot more. Desk area covered in ants. Room very plain and tired. Deluxe room allegedly included toiletries. True but hardly any. All in all average. Until breakfast this morning! On from 7.30 until 10.30, we arrived a little after 9 to what seemed like a refugee camp. We were told we would have to wait 10-15 mins, it was 35!! There were more people waiting for breakfast than those having breakfast. Yes, it's a bank holiday but for the price paid, it was disappointing all round. Nice dinner last night, but overpriced.
