We stayed here 19th to 21st May for the second time. Can only say that the staff here are a credit to the hotel, everyone from reception, cleaning, bar and restaurant are so friendly.Special mention to Andrew,Grita and Chris (hedgehog ). The food is great as is the service.
Would stay in a front facing room next time though, some noise from the theme park, other than that we'll worth the money

Had a fantastic stay here. A room upgrade to an immaculate beautiful room, great breakfast and every single member of staff I came into contact with couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Highly recommended and will definately visit again.

Overall my partner and I, along with my 4 year old boy had a delightful stay, couldn't fault anything, and i actually put some thought into trying to find something..anything that could be improved upon, but there was nothing. We were only there over the weekend (Fri-Sunday) and didnt use all the hotels facilities but what we did use and experience we were very happy with. The hotel is in a great location, away from all the noise of the nightlife further up the road, and thus more appealing to families with young children.Rooms were a good size and clean, the area with the bunk bed was ideal.Buffet breakfast was good, with an above average selection. Staff were friendly and helpful, fantastic value, we will definitely return...

We stayed in the Big Blue Hotel on a Saturday night in early May. We booked a Superior family room online with Pleasure Beach wrist bands included and felt that we got good value for money.

The communal areas of the hotel were clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, clean, tidy and perfect for our family stay. We were on a high floor in the hotel with views of the Pleasure Beach rides as we had requested.

Evening meal in the restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was also great. A good selection of both hot and cold items, fresh juice, tea and coffee etc.

A great hotel perfect for our family weekend away. I am sure that if the children have anything to do with it we will be going back to the Big Blue and the Pleasure Beach theme park!

After reading a few reviews before staying was a bit worried as a few were quite bad , I was so glad I didnt cancel my reservation because of this. The Big blue is a lovely hotel and well looked after with it blue painted exterior and glistering windows that washed both days of my stay. The main reception colleague were always happy to help with any enquiries we had.( ie. If you have booked pleasure beach passes they will print them off for you on the day). We did have a room upgrade which gave us a deluxe room , The room had all the usuals you would expect in a hotel but was the added details that made it better then the rest , the tea and coffee tray had a good variety of choice with no shortage of milk.A choice of decaf and standard coffee tea, hot chocolate and packet of shortbread biscuits which went down nicely after a long journey. The bathroom was very modern with well presented complimentary tolietries if you wished to use.The room was very sound proof from the outside although we was facing out the sea and I understand the back of the hotel is close to rides at the pleasure beach. The room was very clean on arrival and was in the same clean state after the housekeeping had been. Breakfast was served from 7am - 10 am If you arrived at 9am peek time you may have to wait to be seated Though on my stay I didnt have to wait at all. The food was a choice of fresh fruit , Cereals , Cooked full english , Muffins and Danish Pastries. A small selection of jams and honey are set out on each tables. Drinks were tea, coffee, latte, capuccino,Hot chocolate. Fresh Juices or Iced water. This Hotel I would recommend to anyone I and if I come to blackpool I will be staying here again. :-)
