Have stayed twice now and have booked to stay again next week. The hotel is modern, clean and very comfortable. On the first stay we were upgraded to a more superior room and this was lovely, on the second occasion we got the room we booked. Hoping for an upgrade next Sunday! The hotel is faultless and the restaurant superb. A lovely touch is the bowl of green apples in reception for everyone to help themselves to.

Room Tip: The hotel is on the lines of a cruise ship in that you may walk a long way to your room, so if you h...

This hotel is pricey by Blackpool standards but it is well worth it. The breakfast is amazing, perfect for little ones as you can pick and choose exactly what to give them as it's buffet style. The room was great, very clean and lovely toiletries. The childrens bunk beds were in a little 'cove' of their own, so our tv and lights didn't disturb them too much and they had a tv each, one at each level for the bunks. We had an excellent view of the rides, with the Big Dipper and Big One going right past our window, made it exciting for the kids. Plus got to go into the Pleasure Beach an hour early due to stopping as hotel guests. Will def be going again.

The Big Blue is really the only choice for a business hotel in Blackpool. Other than this hotel you will only find B&B's.

The check in was superb and the room was excellent, good wifi and should you take your family then there was plenty of room for them.

The food in the evening was good and the breakfast very good.

Room Tip: Ask for the fourth floor..

Weekend break which I cannot fault it in any way, the hotel is spotless, staff are all fantastic and can not do enough for you! Rooms, cleaned daily with clean towels! Food was great. Overall a great place and we will be back next year.

Visited for four days, 22nd til 26th June. Our room was immaculate as was the entire hotel upon check in. We was left hot chocolate, tea, coffee, shampoo, soap everything needed even a DVD player which was a nice touch! The only negativity I have is the hotel served top end food in evenings which didn't suit everyone's taste buds, or price bracket and no entertainment in the hotel. This made people leave in the evenings. Long walk to anything though really location designed for pleasure beach only. Yet a small problem, compared to all the compliments this fine family hotel offers. Must return and brilliant for families!!!

A lovely place to stay.
Although it's next door to the pleasure beach (rollercoaster can be seen at eye level from the inner rooms) it is quite far from the top end of the beach front, but as the tram service is fine, this is not a problem for times when you need to give your feet a rest from all the walking that's done on a holiday.
Breakfasts sitting under a warmer display can be difficult, but they do it well, it was all well cooked yet not dry. The evening meals were also better choices of dishes than you might expect.
The reception staff are all very warm & helpful - The waiting/bar staff are all really friendly & funny especially Alex and Luke.
The room was the perfect size & there was more than usual amounts of tea and biscuits to wake up with in the mornings and the air conditioning was a godsend in the hot weather.
This was my second visit and I would stay again :)

Room Tip: If you want a sea view ask for an outer room, if you want a rollercoaster view ask for an inner room...

Our family of 4 stayed at the big blue hotel June 21st - 24th am what an absolutely fantastic stay we had, immediately from arriving we were greeted by lovely warm welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for you, we had broke down on the way to blackpool after travelling 150 miles and the receptionist on arrival rang around car garages for us and have us a list of numbers and times to ring the mechanics, we ended up having to stay an extra night waiting for the car to be fixed and we were given a really good deal on the same room so we did not have to move rooms, breakfast buffet was a real treat there is everything and more than you could imagine, evening meal was superb a real high standard delicious meal, staff are so friendly and make you feel well looked after, rooms were unreal, very clean, spacious and comfortable, we stayed in 132 the family deluxe which had views of the pleasure beach which we thoroughly enjoyed, overall if you want to be looked after on holiday this hotel is a must and we cannot thank them enough for our fabulous extended weekend, we can't wait to stay again - we would not even consider anywhere else now we have found the big blue hotel!
