Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights the hotel car park was busy but we got a space so would recommend going earlier rather than later we were informed before arrival our room would not be ready till 3pm but it was ready on arrival at 1pm. Loved that you could see the rollercoasters going past from our room made us very excited for the park. The hotel entrance to the park is only open 10-11:30am and can only be used to enter the park It would have been handy if you could have popped back into the hotel instead of having to walk all the way round. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful and they are more than happy to print off free passes for you to look round the park. Breakfast was help yourself and a 10 minute wait for a table I thought it was excellent. We dined in the hotel one night it was an expensive meal for us but was worth it. We went for our meal at 8:45 to avoid the rush. Only complaint was children running up and down the half until 1am we didn't mind it when it started at 9pm as it is a very child friendly hotel but 1am was a bit annoying. The rollercoasters ran from 8am-8pm so the noise didn't bother you when trying to sleep. Room was lovely bed very comfortable and bathroom was lovely and very clean we would defiantly stay here again and would love to bring our daughter when she is older.

Stayed for one Saturday night during the Bank Holiday weekend. For £169 for a deluxe double, it certainly wasn't cheap. We were expecting something special but it really wasn't. The room was nice but as apparently all the deluxe doubles are on the ground floor, all we got was a view of cars parked right outside of the window and people walking past. Not deluxe in my opinion. The room was nice and a good size but showing wear in parts. The king bed was 2 single divans pushed together and the pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Again not deluxe in my opinion.
The location was good for the Pleasure Beach and the trams. But not a lot in the immediate area.
The breakfast was buffet. Which means lukewarm, poor quality but the continental selection looked better.
Overall I was very disappointed and was glad we had a second night in an alternative b&b which more than exceeded our expectations so we wouldn't stay at the Big Blue again.

Just been for our annual stay at Big Blue with our two granddaughters As usual everything was excellent. Lovely big room and bathroom. The kids bedroom area is separate so they love the idea of having their own space with two televisions. The rooms are exceptionally clean.
The self service breakfast will please even the fussiest eater with lots of choice.
All the staff are extremely helpful and always friendly with a special mention for Tara.
We go regularly as a couple also and have never had one complaint.

Stayed in a deluxe room just myself and my 6 year old, these are nicer than the superior rooms I have had before as it was a larger room with a fire which did make it more relaxing at night, would definitely recommend this room and the hotel, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!
