I trawled a few sites looking for an upmarket hotel in Blackpool and to be honest most reviews put me off. I paid above av (£153 ) for one nights stay in an executive room but it was worth it in the end. Room overlooked "The Big One" roaring past the window every five mins. No problem as Park shut at 8pm.

Fire effect in halve and nice large bath made it very comfortable.

It is a family hotel so you may expect excited kids to charge up and down the corridors during the day. Bar very comfortable. Didn't use the busy restaurant but breakfast was more than adequate ( Didn't like queing up to use the toast machine mind)

The location is probably the best. Its the better side of town and lets face it Blackpool needs smartening up big time now.

First and Last time, perhaps been spoiled in the past, but the customer service was diabolical to be polite, children run riot, rooms are ok, but to be honest its just an overpriced Premier lodge save you self the £100 pound and book a family room there. the managment need to spend a few days at the le regina, warsaw to see how to run a hotel. never ever again. if you like luxury and customer service STAY WELL AWAY, if you like ibis and premier lodges then this is the place for you.

Great hotel, good location next to the Pleasure Beach.
Upgraded to executive room upon arrival with lounge, nice big bathroom and huge bed, very clean and modern.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
Also had evening meal in the restaurant - it was very pricey but pleasant. There are limited places to eat in area and it does feel slightly remote at night - so may be worth walking into central Blackpool for the evening meal etc.
Would definately stay again!

As advised previous to arrival the check in time was 3pm, having arrived at the hotel at 3.40 we were disappointed to find the room we had been allocated had not been cleaned, reported this to reception and were told that they had no other rooms available and that we had to wait for this room to be cleaned, having proceeded to complain further and after a fuss we were given another room, we finally checked in at 4.30, almost all of the day gone! We were told by the management that the check in time was only a "recommended" check in time, seriously, working in the travel industry I know that this is not the case and that in most hotels you can check in before this time!

Apart from this the hotel is of good standard and excellent facilities and location.

Location was perfect for us. large car park. check in superb, room superb. bar & resteraunt just great, brekfasts second to none. It is not in the heart of the town or built up areas, its on a wide road, with views over the new, lovely promanarde, looking out to sea. The hotel is spotless, modern, huge comfortable bed, lovely bathrooms. What more can i say, we will be staying here again.

Stayed here for a weekend with friends.I thought it was really good value and also recieved an upgrade.Room was excellent and the breakfast was not a mass of queues, although I went down early.Only complaint was that the bar did not sell snacks. In the context of Blackpool hotel standards this is probably a bit picky !!

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic break at the Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool,
The rooms are wonderful and not what you would expect to find in Blackpool.
We upgraded to a club room and very glad we did,it was well worth the money, with a balcony overlooking the park, a seperate lounge area with a fire, plasma screen tv and dvd player.
The best thing however about this hotel were the staff, they offered what we could only describe as the "Wow" factor.
Would definately recommend this hotel also to families as we had a sneaky peak at one of the family rooms and they looked great with the seperate area for the kids to sleep in!
Will definately be back again
