We stayed there for a couple of nights, we upgraded to a delux double as we expected the room to be bigger as we had our daughter who is 20 months old with us the room was tiny when we put this to the hotel staff at reception they told us the room system is abit backwards and the cheaper sup room is bigger their words not ours. The breakfast was a joke we had to wait to get a table as there were to busy no organisation but thebreakfast was good.We def would not stay here again and go back to either the Hilton or imperial for the service sorry big blue but you were shocking.

I'm sorry but by international standards British people are getting severley ripped off for their money stayng at this hotel. If you went anywhere in on other parts of the world this would be 3 star at best. At this level you would expect fresh milk not UHT, a bar fridge, safe in your room. Also, the room service is incredibly slow even though they charge you an extra 5 pounds for the service and then they use the excuse that they are busy in the bar, this is not acceptable. With the exchange rate the way it is, I would be holidaying anywhere except the British Isles. Service is slow, wait staff rude and food average at best.

In addition, my husband ripped his jumper on a nail sticking out of the door. Considering this hotel was only built in 2003 it would appear the maintenance is already falling down, Although the staff stated we could buy anothet jumper coming from Australia this was impossible in the time frame we had.

All our friends laughed and called us snobs for paying £199 for 2 nights B and B in Blackpool where you can get places for £20!! I can honestly say that despite the expense we both enjoyed every minute of being in the hotel and it made our otherwise wet weekend one to remember.
Our superior double booked on Hotels.com did not have a king sized bed, fridge or safety deposit box, but did have a very comfy double bed, tv and dvd player, lovely plush bathroom and air-con. Very much liked the laminated wooden floored end of the large room with comfy chairs, mat and fireplace.
The bar and restaurant downstairs was modern, bright, comfortable and welcoming.

After spending a few weekends earlier this year in UK hotels which have seen better days with dark, dingy corridors and bedrooms which are tired, this was indeed a nice surprise. Just a shame it didn't have a pool.

Having a bath with the world moving from the Big One going past was quite an experience!!

If you are thinking of booking this hotel, to hell with the expense, enjoy yourself!!

Cathy

We stayed in a family room for one night so we could see the illuminations and have a day at the Bleasure Beach. Our bed was huge and very comfortable and we had adequate space in the room and a view of the pleasure beach. The childrens bunk beds were the other side of the bathroom so offered us a degree of privacy. The children loved the beds as each of them had their own TV and they loved the large magnetic snakes and ladders on the wall. We all slept well and were not disturbed by any noise.
The rooms do not have a iron or ironing board but one call to reception had one delivered to our room straight away.
Breakfast was good with a large selection of food and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The deal we booked included a days wristband for all the family, so our second day was spent enjoying the rides.
The location of the hotel means its exceptionally convenient for the beach and the pleasure beach. It is away from the noisy arcades and bars.
On previous occasions we have stayed at Lytham St Annes to avoid the hustle of Blackpool but I would definately stay here again and was impressed with the overall standards.

Rooms are spacious beds are excellent. The overall attention to cleanliness is hit and miss there is a distinct smell of mildew on the ground floor near the lifts. Soundproofing is completely inadequate. Breakfast is a bit of a joke as there is a queue not something I would expect but greed seems to have overtaken the management. It will never be possible to seat the numbers of residents in the hotel for breakfast without a queue. The table d hote menu £20.00. Hmm this is far too much. OK. probably a good 3 star and therefore overpriced

We were recommended this hotel by friends and as we were passing through Blackpool on business decided to book a room. They say first impressions count and as we arrived at reception, the impression was where are the staff? We stood waiting for a good 5 minutes before someone came out from the back still chewing food and was greeted with yeah, not good evening sir and welcome! He gave us the room card to fill in whilst he wiped his tie down presumably the food he had been eating whilst we were waiting at reception, told us about the restaurant times and handed us our key and room number with no directions as to the stairs or lifts.
Apart from this the hotel room was great, very quite apart from the people above jumping out of bed at 5am and being sick, We did not eat in the hotel but had a drink in the bar and the bar staff were really friendly and welcoming and the decor was really nice, the let down was that kids were still running around the bar at 10.30pm. Check out was good really friendly.
