I can only apologise now for the long review - but this is a very honest review and I hope it stops anyone having the same experience as us!
Booked for 1 night early last week to arrive on Saturday 17th however due to a change, we then booked again to arrive on Friday 16th but used 2 different bookings (booking.com) however all was fine as received both confirmations from them. Arrived at the hotel at 7:30pm on Friday evening, to be greeted with "NAME", no hello, no smile, gave my details and on her checking the paperwork announced "you haven't booked here" - I had both my bookings printed for her to see, but wasn't interested just kept saying she hadn't received confirmation and we weren't booked.
My husband then announced it was ok, we would find elsewhere, but as they had been booked last minute I wanted assurances we were not going to be charged, which she chose to ignore.
After a lot of complaining (by her not us) she then said she had a room available but we would have to move the next morning, we said that wasn't a problem so she huffed a bit more and walked away.
My husband whilst she was ignoring us asked if the bar was open - her curt and rude reply was "yes, but I'm the only one here, do you want a room or a drink" - I'm...I can only apologise now for the long review - but this is a very honest review and I hope it stops anyone having the same experience as us!

My husband whilst she was ignoring us asked if the bar was open - her curt and rude reply was "yes, but I'm the only one here, do you want a room or a drink" - I'm very surprised he didn't walk out there an then but he held his tongue. whilst still waiting for her to reappear another man came out of the back of reception, looked at us, chose to not speak and went on the computer - obviously a member of staff who doesn't speak to customers either.
She finally after 20 minutes gave us a room key, directed us to the room and when we asked about moving the following morning were told, "you can keep that room" - no smile, disgusted!
We arrived in our room and was pleasantly surprised, first impression clean and tidy, nice bathroom, good size, comfy bed. We were already changed for the evening so proceeded to go out for the night. After arriving home, quite late, we crashed into bed and slept well.
The next morning my husband went down for breakfast (I had a lie in) and when he came back up told me the breakfast was lukewarm, 1 egg (yolk burst) 1 sausage (cooked sometime in the last 7 days as was hard and chewy), 1 hash brown, 1 slice of bacon (still squealing), half a tomato and a spoon full of beans, when asked for a large breakfast he was greeted with "we only do one size".
When I was getting ready to go out on Saturday morning, I went into the bathroom, and on putting a tissue in the pedal bin, found that it was half full of used sanitary products from god knows when - absolutely disgusted.
We went downstairs to go out for the day, and on saying quietly to the same lady who checked us in, her response was "really" no apology, no I will get it sorted, just blanked yet again.
We went out for the full day and had a great time around time, walking for miles, shopping and a nice lunch out. We arrived back to the hotel at 6:30pm to get showered and changed for our evening to find that the bathroom bin had still not been emptied or cleaned. My husband went straight back to reception and a nice gentleman came straight upstairs with my husband and was extremely apologetic.
Whilst I showered my husband tried to put the TV on while he was waiting, only to find that though you have to pay £5 (which is refundable) for the remote, it didn't work, we took it downstairs and handed it back, they offered to give us another to try but by then, we were headed out and wouldn't be watching TV. We discovered that a gentleman 3 doors away TV also didn't work for the duration of his trip, they were meant to have called engineers out but he said he'd been there a few days and nothing had been done.
We both went for breakfast on Sunday morning as I thought it cannot be as bad as my husband said, it was worse, I observed the waiter, clearing one table after the couple had left, there was milk left in the jug, so instead of taking it into the kitchen and discarding it, poured it into the jug on the table next to it that was still to be occupied, the breakfast cereal milk was out on a side cupboard, not refrigerated and was luke- warm and the "full English breakfast" consisted of what was served the day before, and have the distinct feeling most of it was reheated - had a very upset stomach when I got home, approximately 3 hours after breakfast!!
I am so shocked as we go to Blackpool very regularly, and had read the reviews, and thought it appeared nice, I think people have mixed this hotel with one with a similar name further up the road as their reviews are fantastic, or the hotel team post their own under different names trying to make them look good - no way can anyone say the breakfast was great with so much choice, you don't get a choice, its on a plate and put in front of you.
If you like some customer service - avoid this hotel, you will not get any, and a formal letter of complaint will be sent to the hotel management team - I just hope it isn't the woman who needs a long course in customer service.More
