We have been to this hotel for several years now and would not hesitate to go back again.

The food quality is excellent and very tasty the entainment is very good the singers are very good especially Oxygen and also the comedians are very funny.

The hotel has recently undergone some refurbishment which looks fab. The hotel is lovely and warm cosy.

Look forward to going again next year.

Stayed here for the first time for a short illuminations break with friends during a very wet and windy week in October. A large hotel on the seafront, paid extra for a sea view well worth it for the lights and the views over the sea. Although a large hotel did not get a bad feeling overall, nice room, adequate for the 2 of us, plenty of storage. Food was very good and service efficient, buffet breakfast a great asset although the cooked items were to order (very fast)

Entertainment was provided in the evenings (including bingo!) but at times so loud you had no option to listen, could not talk, but of reasonable Blackpool standards. Overall good value from one of the clearly better hotels on the seafront, have stayed in Blackpool at least 10 times over the years, any return visit would be likely be to this hotel.

Any real criticisms? Not really although on arrival the slightly concerning notices in the room to remind guests of the need to take precautions against the dreaded Novovirus, the hotel provided hand gels throughout, perhaps a realistic precaution against the worst item to ruin your holiday, and to warn against thefts from rooms. Good to know however.

Room Tip: Sea view a must, why else go to the seaside!

We stayed here 4-6 November. We had booked two double rooms, (my parents and my husband and I) so were a little surprized when we were not only on different floors but had rooms of a different standard. My parents room (340) presumably had been refurbed; It was brightly decorated, had a new sparkling white bathroom suite, flat screenTV, and a side sea-view. Ours (215) had non of these, but to be fair, was equally spotless. I would have thought that it would have been obvious to them when allocating rooms, that parties who have booked together would make comparisons?
The staff are quick and efficient (especially in the dining room) and the food was good for this type of hotel. On the down side, although the entertainment was very good (particularly Carl Schofield) our enjoyment was spoilt by the children running around the cabaret room ALL evening, despite reminders from the compere, notices posted in the room, and gentle 'barbs' from the acts. The amount of buggies blocking access to seats and walkways also made trips to the toilet and bar quite hazerdous.
At the end of the day, it is what it is, and I'm sure it suites families with children very well. If like us, you want a more relaxing, child free environment, then use the Viking instead.

Room Tip: If a specific room number has been given a good review, request it at the time of booking

disappointed with a 2 day stay, over run with unsupervised kids, far too hot, poor drinks choice, same entertainment 2 nights running, bingo that took far too long, basically same menu both days and not great at that, and to cap it all went out for about 4 hours and when we returned found we had been moved without a word to us with no explanation. look around there is far better than this.

I cant fault this hotel. Although quite old and the decor a bit dated the hotel was very clean and the service was the best . We had bed, breakfast and evening meal. The food was very good and a good choice of menu. The waiter looked after us perfectly, no waiting and as soon as one course was finished he was there taking away the plates and returned immediately with the next course. The only thing I would like to see changed is the TV in the room. It was a little portable with just a few channels. Come om The Cliffs get up to date with this. The Leisure Centre was great, a wonderful spa pool to relax in and Suana. Bit disappointed with the location of the room. No view, would have loved a sea view but then we did book a bit late so they had all gone. The cabaret was good, something every evening, comedians very funny but could have done without having to sit through bingo.

Accommodation is comfortable, however our room was over the entertainment & each night it was as if we were in the middle of the dancefloor!! my parents room was fantastic, no noise & very spacious & light, so it is just your luck where your room is. We have been coming here for years & we feel the food isn't up to the standard it was however it is alright. The kids menu needs an overhaul it is a very poor standard. Staff are extremely helpful & friendly. We enjoyed our stay will return.

Room Tip: Keep away from the rooms above the dancefloor
