just returned from 4 days mon-thurs with my husband & two 14yr old boys - we were very happy with this hotel - some modernisation is still required with the decor in the main corridors of the building but the rooms were fresh & very clean, although they were very warm but fans were provided although I think housekeeping should change the duvets as they were winter tog & not suitable for summer - the boys loved the pool area & table tennis but did say that the games room could be updated as the video games were very old - the food was of good quality & we enjoyed the choice on offer and the staff were all very helpfull from James our waiter to the girls on reception - having the tram stop right outside this hotel was great & gave the boys the freedom to go to the main promonade after dinner for an hour without us worrying that they would get lost - my only gripe is why does everything close at 6pm, we wanted to go Blackpool dungeon etc but everything closes - the evening entertainment at hotel is typical Blackpool singer, comedian etc - when the refurbishment of hotel is complete it should look great as it has some entertainment although I dont think the audience was your average as a lot of disabled/special great original art deco features which I think they should acentuate as it gives the hotel a lot of character - this was my first visit to Blackpool for several years & I was impressed with the work done on upgrading the promenade but a lot of the hotels on the seafront are very run down & tired looking but all in all we had a great trip & I wouldnt hesitate to return to The Cliffs.

Room Tip: choose higher floor rooms as noise from entertainments area very loud on 1st floor

I booked this hotel for my parents who are regular travellers to Blackpool. They loved the hotel! Staff were very attentive and friendly, rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was brilliant. They also had a look at the facilities as we are thinking of staying with our 5 year old. The swimming pool is lovely and a good size and the kids clubs were popular. They will definately return again and we will definately be booking on their recommendation.

Friends booked the cliffs, then very kindly invited us ( and other familys ) down as well, ended up 20 in total, Before i booked i checked trip advisor for reviews, most said rooms were excellent, but 2 reviewers said they were a bit dated decor wise, so when booking i asked for one of the newer refurbished rooms. I cant recommend this hotel enough, all 20 of our friends and kids loved our stay and did not have 1 negative comment.. I am already trying to book again in a few months time... thank you so much to everyone at the cliffs for making our wee family holiday so great...

Just arrived back yesterday from a weeks stay. We were given a big room on arrival with sea view which we paided extra for. The room was really clean and spacious. The food was also really good and the service is second to none. The staff can't do enough for you. Will continue to go to the Cliffs again and again.
