“Short Break for Half Term”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

We went as a family (4 of us 2 kids aged 6&8) for a half term break - the hotel was far better than expected (it was our first time) and it was a total chill out. My daughter has coeliac disease to her diet has to be managed and the hotel could not have done enough to accommodate her.

The food I thought was fantastic’s I humbly consider myself a bit of a foody and hand on heart the food is excellent.

The room was large at the back of the hotel so no view or anything but nice and quiet.

We did not park on the car park but just down a side road (20 yards away) and had no problem.

The kids entertainment is fantastic - if you have young kids they will love this place and if they are happy then you will be too.

Can't rate it enough and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: We had a family room at the back of the hotel on the second floor and it was very quiet.

Just got back from a one night stay at Cliffs. Haven't been for afew years and the hotel hasn't changed that much and it didn't need to. Checked in an hour early, our daughter was given the entertainment programme for kids club, which is excellent. Wish we had know how much was going on as we would have stayed the week!
Room was basic but clean. Only thing I can complain about was slight smell of damp. Room 348.
Staff were fantastic and always friendly. Buffet dining was excellent and dining room spotless. Staff work really hard as hotel was full. Our evening meal and breakfast were lovely. Kids menu really good choice plus they can order off adult one if they wish.
Evening entertainment was good, kids disco and kids club open until 10pm. Drinks are really reasonable and plenty of seating.
Tram stops right outside the hotel and takes afew mins to get into centre of town, think it cost £3 for 2 adults. Car park at hotel is really small but all the surrounding streets are free parking and quiet.
Will be back again, would recommend Feb half term. Also book by phone, was £30 cheaper than online!!!

Room Tip: Ask for top floor seems quieter

Just returned from the Cliffs with my 2 kids, mum, 2 friends and 3 kids and we had a amazing time. Arrived on Tue a bit too early so put our bags in the lugguage room and went for a drink and something to eat in the cafe which was very reasonably priced, kids had beans on toast got a cordial drink and a penguin for two pound odd! In the basement there was a games room for the kids, TV, a big play area, THE BASE with a slide, toys etc which they could play basket ball football etc and they was a play worker there, you could let your child go to this alone as long as your child was over 4 under 4 a parent had to stay and they come and go as they please. They also had a teen base. The hotel had a swimming pool which we all loved and a jacuzzi sauna and gym, not very big but still great! You also got free towlels! There was loungers and chairs round the pool and a bar through a door so you could have a drink while watching the kids. The rooms was spotless and brightly decorated with a tv and there was a kettle, cups, tea, coffee, milk. Entertainment at night was very good kids disco at 8 till 8.30 then the kids could go back to the base for more fun. Then there was a singer then a game of bingo then more singers. The food was brilliant too we had the same table for the 2 days we was there, buffet for your starters amazing starters soup, chicken legs, sausages, mash, prawns, salad, then for your mains waiter service, then dessert which was buffet style. Lovely deserts cheese cakes, ice cream, merangs, fruit pies and custard etc. Breakfast was lovely too that was all buffet apart from they did your toast and brought you tea and coffee, there was juice as well. The waitress was lovely too very friendly her name was Jessica. We all throughly enjoyed the Cliffs and we are definatley coming back next February half term, its the best hotel we have ever stayed in as it is excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, lovely food and great staff.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here at February half term - dinner, bed and breakfast for £78 a night for two in a sea view room. Have paid a lot more elsewhere and not been as happy. Can't believe the quality of the food for the money we paid. excellent value for money. Buffet starters and desserts offered loads of choice and main courses really well cooked. breakfast also very good and a reasonable amount of choice.Sea view room on corner was big enough and very clean. It was also lovely and warm with a table and chairs in the window. Can walk along sea front into Blackpool and then get the tram back as the tram stop outside is really handy. Swimming pool and jacuzzi, sauna and gym all good. Lots going on all the time for adults and children in terms of entertainment and different bar areas and will definitely be back. Great family hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our only grumble would be the car park is quite small for the size of the hotel but we managed to park on the side road outside no problem.
