“Typical blackpool b and b”
Reviewed 19 June 2010

Stayed as part of a large football group. Hotel was pretty average. Would have been ok but the fire alarm was set off at 4am in the morning and it took 45 minutes for a hotel staff member to even get on the scene, which quite frankly is not acceptable. Other than that, the rooms were fine, but the ensuite was tiny, even for a thin person! Good help anyone old or overweight person! Breakfast was fairly good considering but I woudnt choose to stay here again

I have just returned from a weekend in blackpool yesterday and i stayed the vidella and all i can say is wow, The service in this place is second to none and the food is to die for , guaranteed 24 hr service with a smile, Rooms were also of a high standard with towels and bed linen being changed every couple of days unlike some of the places i have stayed at where they change the sheets once a week

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Neil, John and Greg for the kind hearted service and the heartfelt friendship that was felt during my stay at the Vidella and if i worked for any hotel company i would rate it a 20 star , Keep up the Good Work Guys .

Well where do i start........ from the moment i strutted through the doors of the vidella i was blown back by the awful greasy, chip fat smell that over took the reception, and my nose!
Was greated by a pleasant man...who asked our names....when given us our rooms he stood at the bottom of the stairs and pointed us in the right direction (was this because he was embarassed)??

walked into the bedroom where we was greeted by filth and dirt and a nasty smell of an ash tray! the bathroom was something out of a train station! i would not recomend anybody to book at this hotel....ur safer to sleep in a tent! the room was very cramped and the curtains and nets could do with a bleaching/burning. the room had new wall paper but the rest of room was somthing out of 1950's!

the parking was much to be desired aswell...we got told on booking that we was reserved a parking space...when we asked the man he told us to drive 10 minutes down the road to pay £12 a night for parking...where we got boxed in by 8 cars!

but on the up the breakfast was good!

the room they gave us with a major disapointment , especially when it surposed to been an upgraded it was very small and had a dated ensuite . as for the hotel parking that is limted, so u find u have to park 10 min walk away which is £12 per night , u have to beware that u dont get boxed in by other cars as there is no lined bays . on the plus side the breakfast was good and staff are friendly .

Visited this hotel for first time, while catching up with friends in North, Blackpool not my first choice of place to visit, but friends choose location. Hotel was ok, staff great, loved the dog, John one of the day staff, sorted out my international newspapers without any problem. Good value for my dollars.
