We went down for the weekend along with some friends. Had a terrible journey with the promenade being completely blocked. Upon our arrival the we were greeted to a warm welcome. The owner was kind enough to help us find a parking spot. The room was clean, breakfast good and the staff really very helpful. Highly recommend.

I am a previous guest to this hotel to which the owners Lynn and Richard we're brilliant hotel owners. Greeted me and my group as soon as I arrived to which Richard offered to take our bags upstairs to our room. Any problems that we had they sorted it out straight away and were always willing to ring a taxi for us whenever needed. The rooms were cleaned with clean towels the next day of our stay which was very much to our surprise the overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good. Breakfast in the morning was very good with quick service and beautiful tasting food! The girls that served us were very helpful even though it was clear they were very busy.

Now that the new owners have taken over its gone very much downhill. The breakfast was awful with hard burnt bacon and pink sausages the overall presentation of it was horrific. The new girls that serves breakfast looked hungover and miserable, in which took forever to serve the breakfast. Let's just say I was very disappointed and will not be returning here again.

Don't believe the reviews for this hotel it's disgusting it's very dated and scruffy looking, the bathroom was filthy the beds were awful full of springs that poked out the bedding was dirty looking and smelt musty and as for the breakfast a sratty piece of burnt bacon an under cooked sausage,a teaspoon of tin mushrooms and the worst beans I've ever tasted and cold toast needless to say I will never go back You have been warned

Myself and 3 friends went to Blackpool last weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a bad start as the weather was awful, we got caught in lots of traffic which caused us to miss the 1st half of the England match! We were cold and tired when we arrived at Lucena but from the moment we met Richard (the owner) he did everything possible to make us feel at home!! He was helpful, informative and honestly the most friendly man I have met in a long time! As none of us had been to Blackpool before he helped us with where to drink and eat and where the best clubs were! Next time I go to Blackpool I won't be looking for somewhere to stay I will be looking for availability at Lucena!!!

This hotel is brilliant for value, comfort, peace and being made to feel welcome. When we first got to the hotel the Gentleman that owned the hotel guided us to free parking which saved us 20, fantastic service straight away!. The room was comfortable convenient and just what us girls needed. Breakfast was lovely and the right portion size to get you going to in the morning. The location is perfect right in between both south and north promenade, we only literally had a 5 Min walk to the main attractions and the beach was right in front of us!. Absolutely amazing time definitely would go back again, thank you for being so friendly and welcoming it really made our weekend!.
