Stayed at the Ramsay Hotel which, for Blackpool, is a great B&B for a short weekend stay. It doesn't do anything fancy but has nice clean rooms, a good filling breakfast, is far enough away from the areas of Blackpool occupied by the type of people best avoided to be quiet but close enough to the Tower to be accessible, bus and tram stops very close by. Add to that a lovely welcome and helpful owners/staff I'd recommend the Ramsay to anyone.

Recently stayed at the Ramsay Hotel for one night. Not much going on in the hotel but lovely and clean. Well worth the money paid. The rooms were nicely decorated, breakfast was nice - although it would have been better if there was vegetarian option available. Would recommend this hotel.

Practicalities – space for six cars in front of the hotel, plenty of on street parking nearby. Wifi OK but may not work on the upper floors. Breakfast between 9am and 9:30am only.
Location : short walk to Lowther Avenue tram stop or bus stop outside the hotel, Ten minutes on either into the Town Centre; during the day both run every 20 mins and both run until at least midnight. For the trams you pay the conductor onboard. Fare £1.50 or a day ticket is £4.50 if bought on board or £3.50 if bought in a pay point shop. Three day ticket is £10.50. No return tickets. These tickets cover from Lytham to Fleetwood. Pubs about 7 mins by foot in either direction (both do food).

Room – we had one of the superior rooms which had a bay window and great views out over the Irish Sea along the N Wales Coast, up to Cumbria and the Isle of Man. Toiletries, bottled water, biscuits and stuff to make hot drinks all provided. Comfortable bed. Ceiling wallpaper beginning to come away by the window but otherwise the hotel is is very good condition and spotlessly clean. Flatscreen TV. There is a lift so I think wheelchair users would be OK.

Breakfast was a bit restricted, the same everyday but well cooked. English breakfast plus cereal and fresh fruit etc.

Generally – this is a perfectly acceptable hotel. Bar, tv room and dining room. Location is good and reasonably priced. Superior rooms (there are 2) worth the extra. Despite being on the Prom it's a very quiet location – the only thing that disturbed us were some drunk Mansfield Town supporters coming back at 1am (not the hotel's fault obviously). Might stay here again although the very late breakfast time might put me off. There are a lot of other hotels nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have great sea views.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Ramsay Hotel. Four of us stayed to attend the Pigeon weekend. Room excellent, sea view, spacious, clean and well furnished. First class breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to stay in if going to Blackpool.

Room Tip: Book super king sea view rooms are a must.

Only has 3 nights there and wished it was longer, so clean and welcoming. The choice of drinks in the room was excellent, plus there was anoption of a heater for when the central heating was not on. The breakfast was first class, can't wait to return! Cannot be beaten for value either.

Room Tip: Pay extra to get the sea-view!

We stayed for three nights bed and breakfast and enjoyed it very much. Our room was clean and well furnished. It was always warm, it was November so it needed to be.The water from the shower was warm and enticing too. There were excellent tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with drinking chocolate sachets and snack packs of biscuits included too.The hotel is situated on the promenade on the North Shore at the start of the cliff walks. It is at the quieter end of Blackpool which suited us just fine. The owner of the hotel was friendly and helpful and was always on hand to manage the bar if needed.(Just a press on the bell at the bar did the trick if he wasn't there already!)The breakfasts we had were well prepared and enjoyable.Various cereals, fruit juice ,full English breakfast, toast and tea and coffee were available. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: We had a twin bedded room at the back of the hotel on the second floor.A sea view room would be nice...

Arrived at hotel about 15.30 and car park full so advised to park on side road for free - plenty of space so not a problem though out of season so not sure what it would be like if summer. Hotel in the quieter North end not far from Bispham which has few restaurants. Friendly welcome at hotel, room clean, comfy bed and nice size for money paid, space to move about. Shower hot and constant but water did not drain away so had to empty water into sink before next person could use - only stayed one night so reported it on leaving. Breakfast was ample with fruit juice, cereal, full English and toast. There was a nice lounge and bar area for use.
Would stay here again.

Room Tip: It was extremely windy when I stayed and being in room 15 which overlooked the side was a lot quiete...
