“Not your normal Blackpool Guesthouse”
Reviewed 25 October 2013

We only had one night here, however The Old Coach House is a beautifully restored house, I am truly impressed with the attention to detail given to the whole place. The room was spotlessly clean as was the whole house. The host's were welcoming and willing to give you the low down on all the local info. The honesty bar was a nice touch and the conservatory a great place to sit and read. Breakfast was ok, hot and plentiful.

My husband took me here for our anniversary, and it was absolutely lovely!
The owner greeted us on arrival and was really welcoming, giving us some useful tips and information! The whole place is immaculate, and our room was beautiful and comfortable! Lovely comfortable bed and for some reason my hubby was most impressed with the mahogany box containing tea and coffee ( must be a man thing ) lol!
Breakfast is a full English you can help yourself to, or for the more healthy out there you have all your cereals and fresh juice! And luckily for me, plenty of tea!!
The old coach house is perfectly placed, being close enough to the pleasure beach and casino but also far enough away to be peaceful and quiet!
I would recommend this to anyone and have in fact just sent my friend the link so she can book up for herself and her fella!!
Lovely guys, thanks very much! I will definitely return!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night to break up a journey from the London area to Fleetwood for our friends wedding and because we wanted to see Blackpool.

We originally booked to stay in the Marlow lodge hotel. We had read other reviews and seen that the owners tend to phone you in the morning to confirm your arrival time etc and true to form they did. Unfortunately when they phoned they said there had been a plumbing problem so they were going to have to move us to their other B&B a few streets away which they said was actually a star higher, for no extra cost and were very pleasant people to deal with.

They arranged to meet us here at a specific time (since they were having to spend time at the other B&B to sort the issues out) and we arrived a bit early so went exploring as they weren't yet there. The B & B is in a great location, it's in a quiet street and is only about ten minutes walk to south pier with a view to the sea as you walk towards it. It is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the pleasure beach and about ten minutes to the watermark and Grosvenor casino.

When we went back to the hotel, the owners were very welcoming and chatted to us about what we wanted to do during our stay. They mentioned we could get a free drink at the casino with the vouchers they had (and gave us one each) and said that the food was quite nice there too. I was a bit sceptical having never been in a casino before that and thought it'd be quite seedy but I was pleasantly surprised. We had a two course meal for £9.95 each and we thought the food quality was great for the price. I think you could have had a three course meal for about £12.95. We got he free drink and also £5 gameplay for signing up to the casino. They certainly recommended us well.

The room was lovely and bright, the bed large and comfy! Nice but small bathroom. We had the cream/gold room on the first floor.

Breakfast was cooked to order which was also a nice touch.

The exterior of the building was attractive and the gardens was pretty. It definitely was a lot nicer looking from the outside than a lot of the hotels in Blackpool!

They are welcoming hosts and we would stay with them again.

We stayed here 3 nights when in Blackpool to see illuminations. it was a last minute booking only booked because of 9.3 score on Booking, com. it deserves a 10+. Lovely bed and breakfast with attentive hosts. Rick and Kath were very helpful in their recommendations on where to go. Weather was truly bad very windy so appreciated tips on where to go. Breakfast was great with plenty to eat.
Room was great with a lovely comfortable bed and just the right temperature for a wet and windy Blackpool Weekend. I do not hesitate to recomend this hotel and will stay here again if we ever brave Blackpool again.to anyone

Stayed here for one night to see the illuminations. Have never been to Blackpool before. Both Rick & Cath (the owners) could not have been more helpful and friendly with good advice on where to go and where to eat in the evening.. Accommodation was excellent with a full English breakfast in the morning.
Would highly recommend this guest house.
