“"Fine Dining" - Rowley's Restaurant @ BFC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2013

We haven't stayed at this hotel but we did make our first trip to this restaurant situated within the new hotel at Blackpool Football Club. Paul Rowley from the Lindum Hotel in St. Anne's has done a brilliant job with his new venture. We went to a Wine Tasting dinner and it was a wonderful experience. From the very warm welcome by the staff on arrival to the very attentive service throughout the meal. The decor in the restaurant is very modern and upmarket with many old prints of Blackpool adorning the walls. The menu for the our meal was excellent, starting with canapes and champagne reception, followed by a four course meal and coffee. The food was really top quality, well presented and accompanied by some very nice French wines. In between courses Paul wandered around the tables talking to the diners to ask if everything was alright. This was definitely top quality and value for money and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

Clean and modern better than a travel lodge but not 4 star. Breakfast was poor good selection but not well cooked. Had the feel of paying minimum wage staff. Rowley's restaurant was good. Had to travel up and down in the lift with staff member looking for the one credit card machine to pay, perhaps investment in another one or two would be beneficial. State of the art TV's with all sorts of function's that were not useable. The entrance is grim but gets better as you get further up. Overall not bad but no way the best hotel in Blackpool, The Imperial still the best for me and many others above this one.

Room Tip: overlooking the pitch gives you an outside area off the room! as they double up as boxes on matchday...

Thank you for review of the Blackpool FC Hotel. Your feedback is very important to us.

We apologise that the standards during your stay did not meet expectations. It's understandable that you were not satisfied with breakfast, and the credit card machine situation. We will be addressing both of these points. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Rowley's, and that you found the hotel pleasing once inside.

Once again we would like to thank you for your review of the Blackpool FC Hotel, and we hope to see you again soon.

Lovely little hotel. Stayed on a match day and couldnt fault it. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom is spacious. Had no problems with parking (even though it was a match day), just ask for a permit at the reception desk. Would definitely stay here again. (Within walking distnace of blackpool south train station)

We stayed here for two nights inc New Years eve and had a good stay , the problems we had that the pillows were far too soft we asked if they had any firmer ones but they did not but the beds were so big and comfortable it was a shame, the only other criticism was the time it took to let us back in the hotel after we had been out after ringing the door bell for approx 5 mins we were let in by a security lady whe happened to pass the door . All the female members of staff were excellent

Alex and I stayed at this hotel for the second time. Lovely attentive staff. Great hotel. Was great to be back and will return again soon.

We had a meal in Rowleys again and its so nice and again the staff are so lovely.

Was like being back home again..

Management should be so proud of their staff (which I think they are). Well done guys x

Did not expect the Reception we would receive at this hotel. To put it mildly, "Exceptional" from start to finish of the stay. From the Reception staff, to the room itself and to the buffet breakfast could not be falted. Plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable beds and a buffet breakfast to fill you for the day ahead Concierge staff were more than helpful nothing was too much trouble for them to handle.Thankyou. A special Thankyou to the Senior Receptionist for the caring shown to my wife re our loss in 2012.It was greatly appreciated. We hope to visit again this year. Well worth a stay for anyone visiting Blackpool you will not be dissapointed I am sure. Along with the Viva show in Blackpool a very pleasent entry to 2013

Needing a one night stay in order to spend New Year dancing at the Tower Ballroom, a member of our group booked 4 rooms, mainly because there was parking available. We were met by a very helpful young man who showed us to reception, and the enthusiasm of the staff continued to impress us during the rest of our stay - even passing them in the corridor led to friendly exchanges. They'd obviously received excellent training. The rooms were comfortable, particularly the beds, and the bathrooms were a delight to use. The high quality breakfast provided a wide menu, and we enjoyed the opportunity to view the stadium. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the pitch would be an an excellent gift for someone if Blackpool were playing at...
