Arrived on Saturday .... Lovely clean hotel could not fault the room at all, good size, clean, comfy bed and pillows. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent, well presented, extremely tasty and nothing was too much trouble. Will definately stay again in the future. Thank you.

Just returned from our first stay here and would definately go back. Very friendly consierge met us on arrival, assisted us to the reception. My partner had arranged surprise flowers and champagne to be in the room on arrival (i didn't know this) and on checking in and paying this was kept separate from the room payment so i wouldn't know. Room was large and well decorated, pitch view, everything we needed including MUGS with the kettle not 1 mouthful cups you usually find. Few teething problems with the key card as we couldn't access room when we had been out, but we had them reset and all was fine. Bar area clean, welcoming and staff friendly. A little inconvenienced by the fire alarm going off in the early hours of the morning but that wasnt the hotels fault, everybody evacuated and back in their rooms within half hour. Staff apologised for the inconvenience when we arrived for breakfast. lovely choice of food Quick check-out. Will be back!!!!!!

Room Tip: Pitch view room is lovely even if you are not a fan of football!

Our party stayed in rooms 328&330 both overlooking the pitch which really made our day .All the staff were attentive &polite ,allof them went out of their way to give that little bit extra .We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night ,the food was memorable & once again the staff scored 100 percent .SERVICE WITH A SMILE !!!! Breakfast on both mornings was un-beatable .We met two doormen both of whom were happy chatty gentlemen & obviously enjoyed their work .We will definitely return .

Room Tip: 328 & 330 are first class & have patio doors overlooking the ground

The Concierge that greeted us was friendly, helpful and you receive the warmest welcome. This continues while you check in; the lady was attentive, friendly and made us feel our journey was worth it.
Our room was clean, the bed was huge and comfortable and a bottle of chilled fizz greeted us when we got there.
The bathroom is starting to show signs of wear (since our last visit 6 months ago), and there were black damp marks along the rim of the bath. There were hairs in the bath, something my partner finds particularly unpleasant. We believe if this is left unchecked, it will deteriorate.
We stayed in Room 222 (similar room last time) and the WiFi was non existent. This is particularly frustrating - considering the age of the hotel you would expect the technology to be installed to ensure WiFi was available everywhere. This time staff said they informed IT engineers, but given it was the same last time we visited, we believe there are issues with rooms not close to reception.
Breakfast is an experience! Having a view over the pitch is a wonderfully different way to enjoy it. We stayed 2 nights. On the first morning, we were served at the table. This was a choice of full English or full English, albeit pleasant (sausages tangy). We were not offered other choices (porridge, fish, salmon and scrambled eggs etc), but there was choice of self serve juice, toast, jams etc. The second day was a buffet style and we were able to help ourselves, again, to full English and nothing else.
When we visited previously, there was a restaurant manager ensuring excellent service. This time the customer service failed miserably. There was one lady (pregnant) running around trying to serve everyone's needs, and there was a bunch of younger boys and girls who were more intent on talking to each other, and just milling around and paying no attention to customers or their needs - it seemed they were in awe of the footballers present at breakfast rather than serving the paying guests. This was particularly frustrating, considering a first class service we had only 6 months ago.
We would visit the hotel again if we were up that way, but management need to be aware standards are slipping, and if this remains unchecked things will only get worse and you will be left to rely on football fans and not tourists visiting Blackpool.
This hotel deserves a 5 star rating and missed out because attention to detail is starting to slip, come on you have a fantastic idea, a superb venue, get back to 5 stars pronto!

Room Tip: Room 222 has no WiFi!

Booked here as we were going to a match at the stadium. £75 for twin room with breakfast seemed like good value. Room still looks new and bed was comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Also noticed that when other staff passed you in the corridor they smiled and said hello (little things do make a difference!).
