Just writing this review after a 4 day break in Blackpool. We booked a family room as we were travelling with our 5 year old daughter, the rooms are clean and of average size, our problem was that they only have a shower.....a very very tiny shower!! Our daughter will not have a shower at home and we have basically had to force her in there to wash, every hotel i have been to before when booking a family room has always had a bath. Also i suggest you pay the extra £40 to have a sea facing room, as ours was facing the * " car park" and the overflowing rubbish bins, not a pretty sight!! As i was referring to earlier....the "car park" holds about 6 cars max, which, when we were there was taken up by wedding party guests who were having their reception there, eh hello, paying guests here, we had to park at the end of the creepy alley & walk back!! We didnt eat at the restaurant as nearly £ 17 for a 2 course meal, which looks like it came from a 1980's menu, no thanks!! Had a meal from the bar, which was ok, pub grub. Selection of fruit juices 4 a starter?.. what??? Staff were ok, all young males who grunted at you each morning when u go for breakfast.....very professional!!! All in all, a very average hotel, very over priced for what they are offering. Oh, yes & please dont be fooled with the fact the hotel offers entertainment, its bingo......every night, with the odd 50,s & 60,s song chucked in.....mainly Patsy Cline or Patsy Cline!!! If u are travelling with young kids, i would certainly suggest another hotel, this hotel is totally aimed at people over the age of 70. Sorry, thats my opinion.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view.

Thank you for your review of the Carousel Hotel. We are sorry that you were disappointed with elements of your stay with us. We aim to cater for all ages at our hotel and endeavour to ensure that all our guests enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our entertainment is designed for guests of all ages and we are sorry it did not appeal to your particular family. We politely point out that the car park takes 25 spaces, (not 6 as you suggest) and in addition to this all surrounding roads have unrestricted 24hr parking. All our bedrooms have modern en-suite facilities with step in shower cubicles. The daily Table de Hote offers a choice of various items for each course and is supported by an extensive bar and lounge option, and children’s menu if guests prefer this. Sea View rooms are of course available if this room type is requested and booked accordingly. We strive for the highest level of service in our hotel and have passed on your comments to the relevant members of our team, who will follow up as appropriate to ensure that our customers' experience constantly and consistently improves. We thank you once again for your constructive comments and are sorry we did not meet with your satisfaction.

Just returned from a 2 night break in this lovely Blackpool hotel. Will definitely return. Our room was spotless, modern and very comfortable. We ate our main evening meal in this hotel on our first night and was pleasantly surprised as wasn't expecting much for a 3* hotel - the food was excellent. The hotel is an excellent location adjacent to the beach and just 2 tram stops from the pleasure beach. Will definitely return and would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I had requested a sea view room but didn't get this - our room was quite noisy on the Saturday h...

Stayed here last weekend for 3 nights. We found the hotel to be of a good standard and very clean. Our rooms were a good size and with modern decor.clean and fresh..Breakfast was v good plenty of choice.we also had a meal in the bar on our first night and was also good, basic but nice. Would have to say a special thanks to the reception staff, they were really nice friendly and very professional nothing was any trouble. The location of the hotel is good 5 mins from airport and with a bus and tram stop right outside is very close to all the major attractions. Hope to be back in Blackpool again and will stay here again

The Carousel Hotel is ideally situated and is in close proximity to the sea, sand, Pleasure Beach and local facilities. The bus and trams run adjacent to the hotel with an excellent timetable into the centre of town.

The hotel is immaculate throughout. The whole place is spotless. Breakfast and evening dinner are excellent. The staff are professional and very pleasant indeed.

The Carousel Hotel is a little gem of a place to stay.

Book up and stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for a wedding and was very happy with the wedding reception, the food, the staff and the evening do, which included bacon sandwiches, a selection of other sandwiches and chips. Seems to be the new supper at weddings and went down well. The room was very modern clean and well equipped and bathroom even though small was still adequate, new and modern. The lift was an asset.
There is a small car park which was very handy because by the time we arrived all the street parking had been taken. Breakfast which is a buffet was also very good. Now after all the positive I have only two gripes, in our room (327) there was an unidentified noise, something like an extractor fan on 24/7. The other gripe was the broken toilet seat, which could have been fixed much easier than the annoying noise. The hotel was far better than the appearance from the outside, so I would recommend it to a friend.

This is quite a smart hotel. The receptionist staff where welcoming and really helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and appeared to be recently refurbished, although it had an old style telly (not a flat screen). The food was also pretty good for hotel style food, although the rose wine was not nice and therefore was left. Again the restaurant staff where very good. The one big let down, was the bed. We have slept in many hotels, and the mattress had to be the lumpiest most uncomfortable, we have slept on (sorry not slept on). In summary, a good hotel but let down by the poor quality mattress.

This is probably 5th or 6th time I have used this hotel when visiting very elderly Mum. Have tried others in this area and they have ranged from dire to 'almost as good'. Reception staff excellent, friendly and efficient. My room was clean, comfortable and a decent size. Shower excellent and plenty of towels. Very good hair drier. Used room service in the evenings as too tired to do much else. Good choice from menu and tasted nice. Red wine on 2nd night was lovely - maybe receptionist thought I needed spoiling(she was right!) breakfast was buffet style (but when hotel not full, it is waiter service) with good choices. All staff are friendly and helpful and as a single traveller I was looked after very well. My room overlooked sea yes, there was a bit of traffic noise but I had window open, it soon lulled me to sleep. Bit of corridor noise from a few guests but not enough to cause any problems reception for mobile not good but on plus side I got some peace! Would I stay again, yes I would.

Room Tip: Ignore last two points re pool/fitness as they have neither but I tapped them in error on Ipad and c...
