We booked for one night on Friday the 13th of December.
We couldn't fault anything. From arrival to departure it was perfect. The staff are very well mannered & efficient
Our evening meal with entertainment was wonderful.
The Entertainment Manageress was excellent at organising the event & kept everything flowing, ensuring that the food was delivered to the tables fresh & we'll presented.
Bar prices are very reasonable. The entertainment was superb.
Our evening meal was lovely.
We had an early start on Saturday morning and again had a wonderful breakfast.

A party of 10 good friends stayed at the Carousel last night - I organised this do and having stayed here before I pretty much knew it would be a hit..however..the Carousel went beyond all expectations...booking was easy and hastle free...staff at the hotel very attentive, professional and communicative. Our arrival was easy too and checking in very easy with no probs at all. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with fab beds and spare pillows. We had booked the entertainment night and for £24.95 we got a 1st Class entertainer - Richie Penrose - a DJ who played a variety of music and just the right volume so people could still have a conversation, and a lovely 4 course meal which we had pre-ordered. The food was served hot, and was really well presented and top class standard. The vegetarian option was a butternut squash puff pastry parcel which was wrapped with a leave of spring onion. Extra gravy was provided for the Turkey eaters and the salmon and broccoli bake that I had was lovely. Desserts Sticky Toffee and Date Pud, Lemon Tart, Cheese and Biks and the presentation was lovely especially the cheese and biks which was a generous selection of around 4 cheeses including the seldom seen Red Windsor.
One of our party used to be an Events Organiser in London and has worked with some top Chefs. She was well impressed with the manager of the event and my friend said that the co-ordination which took place between the manager and the staff was really good. My friend has been to many a posh do and she felt that this was an event which surpassed them all.
Breakfast was served till 10 am and check out at 11 so we all got a bit of a lie in before meeting up for more fab food - wow - what a place.
A BIG THANK YOU to ALL the staff and the Carousel for starting out Christmas off with panache and style.
We will be back :) x

Came here as part of a National Holidays coach trip. The rooms are ok, nicely decorated although could be cleaner (dead bugs on the windowsill for example) and the shower isn't good. Room 315. But my main issue is the food. We went down for our evening meal and I was disgusted to find there wasn't a single vegetarian option on the menu. Disgraceful. So I asked the waitress, and she went to speak to the chef. She returned offering me an omelette. An omelette. Pitiful. Equivalent to eating at McDonalds while the rest of your group eat at the Savoy. Not a filling or satisfying meal to finish the day. Also I asked for a cheese and mushroom omelette and there wasn't a single mushroom in it!!
So breakfast came along, and I was informed there were quorn sausages available. Redemption I thought. Nope. A waitress brought out my sausages, and I was immediately suspicious. They weren't quorn, but I assumed some other brand. But when I cut into one the texture was that of mets and the meat smell was overpowering. There were not vegetarian sausages. I am disgusted. I would sleep in a damp alley before I came back to the Carousel.

We stayed here as a family with young children during the Summer holidays. A family room for 4 with a sea view cost £100.00 per night. We were woken at 2:00 am though by 3 drunken Scottish women screaming and shouting on the road about 30 metres away but I can't blame the hotel for that. I did presume that being in a location 10-15 minutes walk past the Pleasure Beach that the area would be quiet. The rooms were rather nice but we saw some rather worrying things like bare wires hanging from the low ceiling near the lift and the bathroom ceiling light hanging off. This didn't affect our stay too much though. On the plus side the rooms were clean and the staff were very welcoming. They also provided family entertainment most nights which is great when you have young children. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

All round a good value for money hotel, good service excellent food good rooms well equipped. unfortunately Housekeeping let the rooms down.

We were there for the recent wedding of our son who was getting married in the same hotel. We got a discounted rate and as we were travelling from Berwick upon Tweed we decided to make it a few day rather than a short stay. Reception staff were very friendly as was everyone working in the hotel. The food and wedding service was excellent and well organised. We were located on first floor above the rooms to be used for our son's wedding, there was slight noise during the night when they were setting up the venue for the next day. We did complain and apology received.
The room was well serviced with new flat screen TV Kettle and hairdryer. Bathroom stocked with the usual mini shampoos etc. Bedding clean and fresh and crisp towels in the room. Down side was the state of the carpet, beyond clean, needed replaced and general housekeeping areas neglected such as layer of dust on headboard, door sills and within the door panels. Rim of toilet also needed a dam good scrub. This was reported on departure and I have no doubt that it will be rectified. However the carpet should never have gotten into a sate like this it looked like it had been used as a tradesman's entrance during building work instead of a double bedroom carpet.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper then ask for a room above 1st floor.

We were (very) fortunate enough to secure tickets to see BBC Strictly Come Dancing being filmed in Blackpool and decided it would be less hassle to stay overnight than travel home after the show. Having looked through a large number of mediocre hotels and B&B places on Tripadvisor and elsewhere, we picked the Carousel on the expectation that it would be the best of a bad bunch.

We were both very pleasantly surprised. Right from the point of check-in (a quick taxi dash to drop the suitcase off before the show as we couldn't take it in with us - where the staff happily booked us in and offered to take the case to the room) through to check-out the following morning everything was great. Friendly and quick service at reception and in the bar, lovely (quite obviously recently redecorated) room with comfortable bed and smart en-suite, great and quick room service breakfast. I realise when staying in a resort hotel that noise from other guests can be luck of the draw, but we had a great and undisturbed night's sleep.

The only very minor observation I'd make is that the television in the room was very small but to be honest this wouldn't affect us recommending the hotel to others in future. If you're visiting Blackpool (and particularly if you're going to the nearby Pleasure Beach) I'd recommend you stay here.
