“Basic and downmarket”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013

Good location, but possibly the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in, and that includes in India. Tiny and pokey, we had a view of the car park and dustbins. Cheaply furnished and a dirty carpet. The bathroom was claustrophobic with no window and nowhere to hang the towels. The breakfast was plentiful, but all bargain basement, low quality food. The whole place needs decorating. I believe some of the reviews on this hotel are not genuine. There is nothing lovely about this place. There are lots of much nicer hotels in Blackpool for the same price.

Room Tip: Don't bother

just arrived home from brooklyn hotel, what a lovely clean & tidy hotel. on arrival my friend & myself were greeted by bob who runs the hotel with his wife veronica. very very nice friendly people, also met a very good friend of theirs (alison) a very friendly woman who we had a brill laugh with most of the day & also had a few drinks too... in the morning we had a very nice breakfast (which is include with the room). the beach & bars etc are only a short walk from the hotel which is a bonus.
i would recommend this hotel to anybody, i will defo be visiting with more friends in the very near future..
great value for money ....
thanks again to bob, veronica & not forgetting alison for a lovely stay.

Six of us stayed at the Brooklyn for a weekend visit in June 2013. This was our second stay in 12 months and the hotel still offers outstanding value for money. Everything is clean and nicely presented.

The dining room is very bright with plenty of elbow room - no cramped tables! Their full English breakfast sets you up for the day with juice, cereals, toast & marmalade in addition to the cooked breakfast. As much tea or coffee as you can drink!

A 10 minute walk to the North Pier or there is a tram and bus stop at the bottom of the road.

We would definitely return for a 3rd time and we look forward to it.

Room Tip: Parking available on the streets We parked right outside the hotel.

I would like to start by saying what a lovely experience my husband and myself had when we stayed at the Brooklyn a couple of weekends ago.On our arrival we were greeted by Bob who was kindness itself our room was ready but instead of handing us the key we were shown to our room and asked if everthing was ok .The room was lovely very large and airy spotlessly clean plenty of hot water bathroom though not the largest was also very clean .there was plenty of tea and coffee lovely crisp biscuits which were replenished the next day .Also we had good wardrobe space plenty of coat hangers the bed was very comfy with crisp white sheets ; i always find it difficult to sleep away from home but not here slept like a log.And now the breakfast the dining room was lovely realy homely with little touches that were very nice it was informal we picked our table and then helped ourselves to fresh fruit cereals then a cooked breakfast we had plenty of tea and coffee and no need to ask for anything it was brought to you loads of toast and butter nothing was too much trouble. If we wanted anything from the bar we only had to ask and the hotel is just over the road from the Hotel where they hold the George Formby Society which is very convenient for us. We realy enjoyed our stay with Bob and Veronica so much we have booked again in September cant wait oh and we had perfect weather but if we hadnt it wouldnt have detracted from our lovely weekend.

Room Tip: we had a lovely room and if you looked to the right out of your bedroom window you could see the sea...
