My husband found this little gem via Tripadvisor - the weekend we went to Blackpool, Rod Stewart was appearing at the football ground, so the place was busy. However The Maples, away from the hustle and bustle of the main town was just perfect. We were going to see Mamma Mia
A proper small hotel, run by the friendliest Irishman in the whole world - thanks Dave.
Our sea view room on the top floor was perfect - clean, tidy and very well presented.
The bar is well stocked and to sit in the lounge looking out over the sea was wonderful.
Breakfast - the best selection of fruit, cereals etc I have seen in a long time, and well in excess of what you would normally see in a hotel of this size. The full breakfast sets you up for the day - we walked miles, but its location is perfect and right opposite tram stop.
Like Alex B - we have booked again for the illuminations, but this time with 3 other friends - can't speak too highly of this hotel
