We arrived saturday car parking was an ordeal in itself we were given room 13 ground floor to say it was small is an understatement the room had a horrible smell we had a view of a brick wall with an extractor fan or something going 24 hours it was claustrophobic so went and asked if we could change rooms to be told fully booked we
hen we were coming out of our room we got talking to a couple who were carrying cases we thought they were going home no they had been and complained and were given another room even though we were told earlier there was no rooms also the disabled ramp near our room didnt cover the full step so I fell off the step and the breakfast dont get me started everything tastes the same and full of grease we have stayed here before but we thought we hive it ano4her go it put a dampner on our 20th wedding anniversary

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! We payed for a sea view but we looked at a brick wall...room was so dirty, carpets were heavily stained, dirty beds, dirty walls!!!! We booked evening meal and breakfast which was disgusting, think it dreadful that you don't get a drink with your meal especially as I had children with me! I have never been so glad to check out of a hotel in my life....Have done nothing but itch since leaving this hotel! filthy, rotten, don't stop here you will be very disappointed!!.

I can only echo the view of many other unfortunate souls that have endured this place. The windows were so filthy you could not see out very well, oh and that was on the inside! Yes really. It seemed such an inconvenience for the chap at the front desk to interact with anyone and the personal hygiene of some staff serving in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Oh and the tramp sleeping in the reception area with his cheap cider in hand was a nice touch as we were leaving. The chap behind the desk as previously described seemed nonplussed by the non paying guest! Worst 200 quid I have ever wasted to stay in a dump and be sneered at by desk chap. Don't go there. Oh, and you will probably NOT be able to park in the car park.

We stayed here for the week end having booked for a Sea View Room with premier dining in the Worrall Restaurant, satisfied with both. Our room was lovely, big with views over sea and cenotaph. Food was good - best described as " Home - Cooking style. Staff very pleasant and all very clean.
The Hotel is spacious with lots of original features. The sitting areas are comfortable, we didn't use the bar or function room because we went to the theatre at night. The Hotel is well placed for entertainment- a bit noisy late at night, but Hey! its Blackpool

Room Tip: Ask for Sea view room

Dear Guest, many thanks for taking the time to post a review.

Your comments are very much appreciated and have been passed on to the Staff. Its good to get a balanced view on these matters. Sometimes one has to experience the Hotel for them selves rather than rely on dubious inaccurate reports.

I was particulaly pleased to read that you thought that you liked your room and enjoyed the view.

We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stopped at in my life! Food was terrible, room was dirty, stained carpets and the paint was flaking off the walls. Don't stay at this hotel you will be very disappointed.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the poor state of repair in places, and the bodge repairs that have been done as 'get me by' fixes. We had a nice roomy sea view twin room, en-suite (265, 2nd floor, out in the hotel wilderness. A hike to get to from both the stairs and lifts.). When we arrived at the room it was clean and tidy, bedding was basic but clean and well presented, (spare bedding in wardrobe) the ceiling had paper that was just beginning to drop in places. The wallpaper behind the radiator had dropped at some point and had been stuck back up like some kid had stuck random bits of paper on the wall, some painted surfaces were badly chipped. The bay window ceiling had a crack in it and showed signs of dropping, it also had bodged re-papering in places. One of the armchairs had splitting in the seat fabric but was serviceable. The main bay window was detached from the wall completely on the whole right hand side. The bathroom window was screwed shut, god knows what for, as it did open safely after we removed the screw, the seal around the bath top was broken in places and/or mouldy there was no seal around the edge of the flooring and some of the tiles abutting the floor looked ready to come off, also grouting was dirty/mouldy in places, floor had stains and was soaking wet when we arrived due to puddles of water accumulating between the loo and the bath. The bath itself was brilliant, a jacuzzi type; the shower was great, the toilet was fine apart from a wobbly seat. The room was cleaned daily but was lacking in certain area's, some cup rings remained the whole stay and the carpet never appeared to be completely hoovered. It looked like we had fresh towels daily, some towels were slightly stained (not soiled) as was some of the bedding. On the whole the staff are first rate and very attentive, on the food side it was plentiful, hot, buffet style, the waiting staff always kept the tables clear and clean. We found a butter pat portion that had gone rancid and growing mould when buttering a piece of toast for breakfast, we reported it to the waiter who apologised, immediately removed the whole batch from service, replacing it with a fresh batch in a different clean bowl. Overall though, despite the negatives; we had a great midweek stay.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms seem quite a bit quieter than the roadside ones. Quite a few rooms are a long way fro...
