We have just spent a week at the Metropole Blackpool it used to have a good reputation but now they have no staff no one cleaned our room or toilet in 30o heat for the whole week ' We had a perfect room jacuzzi bath nice sea veiw. We purchased our own toilet rolls. The car park as now become a public pay and display so although it is free for guests it is full. The food was aweful the chef even put frozen ready cooked chicken on the salad bar and said "the heat will thaw it out" the main meat was cheap beef rib bones like stewing meat. The entertainment consisted of bingo where the prize was £8.00!!! and as most were aged 70plus they were spoken to as if they were senile. One hours so called singing everything finished by 10.30 even the bar closed as the elderly went to bed Then we had the fire alarm go off no organisation or fire marshall in a real fire half the guests would have died. one fire exit led no where people in wheel chairs were on the third floor only three staff on duty. guests stood outside in nightclothes and no one told anybody what was happeing it was a small fire in the basement
