“September Weekend, Fantastic”
Reviewed 2 October 2011

My first stay at this lovely hotel, a fantastic place to stay, The hotel is immaculate, right down to the finest detail, Alan and Michael are warm and friendly and you can see why guests return year on year. Rooms are exceptional and there is everything you need and more. Breakfast was lovely, a great choice and the home made jams and marmalades are a must, thank you both for a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon.

Our first stay at this lovely hotel, from start to finish was fantastic a much needed weekend break for my partner and myself. Michael and Alan are quite frankly the warmest and most sincere proprietors of any hotel we have stayed, from the warm friendly welcome we felt right at home! The hotel is spotless clean and the attention to detail is quite outstanding, this wonderful couple have really though of everything you might need in your room right down to a spare toothbrush and razor! The breakfast was exceptionally tasty from the fry up to the lovely piece of smoked fish and poached eggs,, all topped off with some toast with Michaels scrumptious homemade jams and marmalades!!!!! Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple and we hope to be able to visit again soon. Thank you Michael and Alan.

My wife and I have been regulars at the Pembroke for eight years now, making short visits once or twice a year. Michael and Alan are unfailingly kind and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. They have improved the facilities every year and the Pembroke has now reached a standard that we have not been able to find anywhere else in the UK, despite sometimes spending considerably more.

I found this lovely Edwardian Hotel on the internet! My husband and I had not been to Blackpool for 46 years and really could not fault our stay at the Pembroke. Nothing was too much trouble: as well as providing the splendid accommodation and food, Michael's knowledge and advice helped us decide what to do and see everyday. There was a very friendly atmosphere as all the guests were 'regulars'.
Cannot fault it, and have already recommended the place to everyone who asked!
Hope to return quite soon. Thankyou Michael and Allan.

After stumbling across this fantastic little place earlier in the year we just had to head back in summer for a replay.

The room on our last visit was great but our room this time was even better. Absolutely everything was perfect - huge comfortable beds, flat screen TV / DVD (and a good selection of films in the library), a great choice again in the drinks tray (and even a small tea towel to dry the mugs after use!), all the little toiletries that you might need and everything was spotlessly clean. I'm sure Michael has a cleaning OCD...

Only staying bed and breakfast but Alan did a cracking job for us at breakfast and we both left for the Pleasure Beach feeling somewhat stuffed. I was informed by my travelling companion (referred to by Michael as "biblical bekah") that the scrambled eggs are fantastic - I can confirm that the bacon is rather good as well!

It's such a happy and relaxing place to stay... a real home from home.

And that's it. We'll be back again before long. With more doughnuts!
