From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service from all members of the staff at this Hotel was first class. The food was top draw with plenty of choice, Rooms were very clean and comfotable, The Entertainment was superb 3 acts each night plus bingo, The bar prices were great value, and not overpriced like some other hotels we ave stayed in. Great Location
Can not fault this Hotel.

Room Tip: Take no notice of the negative reviews on this site, go you wont be disapointed.

We stayed at the Lyndene Friday to Monday last weekend, we had a great time, the food was exellent, plenty of choices at both breakfast and dinner, entertainment wes also very good (just as well as weather was not to good), Lyndene has 2 lounges with acts on so you have a choiceof entertainment,
The only thing we were dissapointed in was our room ( room 90 ) it must be the smallest room we have ever stayed in , including some cruises where cabins are tiny, the toilet was tiny, you had to stand at toilet basin to close the door,a few times we bumped our elbows off shower cabinet, a few bruises were had by both of us,i dont know how very large guests would manage in this room, also bed, while very comfy wes put in a recess suitable for a single bed not a double bed, bed extended out from bed recess to leave very little room to get by when you entered room (less than 2 ft ).
We found all staff very pleasant and helpful, overall a great weekend just a bit more elbow room would have been perfect

Room Tip: Ask for room with more room than we had

hotel was clean, staff were over worked ,entertainment was poor, food was excellent, but rooms are too small beds are very hard
like lying on concrete slabs no comfortable chairs to sit on hotel overcrowded .too many stairs for most of the oap's who have difficulty in walking. Although lifts to all floors there were still stairs to manouvre to get to rooms £15-£24 for sea view windows that are filthy on the inside is a disgrace

Room Tip: corner rooms are smaller, room sizes have bdieen altered and extra beds are squeezed in, no space t...

Overcrowded with shuffling over 70s,who congregate outside to smoke.Everything is overcrowded, the bar the restaurant ,the carpark, the rooms are so small(asked for a bigger room, was told we were in one of the biggest!!!) that there is no respite even there. The overwhelming feeling is of despair!.The breakfasts were of good quality, but staff are running around like lunatics because there is only an hour timeslot to eat..from 8-15 to 9-15 mon to fri,and 8-45 to 9-45 sat and sun(we didnt eat dinner).Ridiculous i hear you say,and youd be right. We returned to our room 49 at 12.20am sat night, the music from the dancefloor below continued till 1.30am!!,ridiculous i hear you say,and youd be right. The lift(ha-ha)is so small and slow that the stairs are full of old people hobbling up and down all day and night. The reception staff mostly have their heads down and rarely look at you,Mark was helpful when i got a parking ticket for being the wrong side of a faint yellow line at the side of the hotel,he moved his car from occupying two spaces so i could park in front of it!!.We booked here because our usual hotels were full, this hotel is STRICTLY for old bingo lovin smokers who use the WM clubs at home, love moderate caberet, and eat quickly !.Wont return.£345 for four nights b/b..robbery without violence.

We were booked for 2 nights but left without sleeping the first night. Tiny room, even smaller bathroom, shower not big enough, very dated place. Food was awful, tossed at you, rushed and terrible quality. Full of OAP's, 'car park' is on the front where you block each other in and arrange between yourselves to move your car. Entertainment was 2 singers and bingo, shocking. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Couldn't bring ourselves to stay so came home.
