Where to begin....Faulty Towers in Blackpool but no laughing matter. We visited the hotel for the 1st time in June 2013 with myself my husband and my mum who was terminally ill, that's why we picked this hotel because it had good reviews on the entertainment and as my mum was very limited with mobility this seemed a good choice. 1st the good points the room was bright and clean, the food was ok and restaurant staff very pleasant and the entertainment was fabulous. Now for the rest.......due to no fault of the hotel they had a power cut from approx 9am to around 8.30pm as we had been out for the morning not a problem but my mum need to have an afternoon sleep as we returned to the hotel around 2pm we came across a lady very distressed on the front steps saying she could not find her room, as we went inside we understood why it was pitch black in the corridors to the rooms the hotel had torches FOR SALE at reception as luck had it my mum carried one. The power was still off by the time we should have had an evening meal so the hotel came around with what can only be described as the out of date products sold at a supermarket at the end of the day dry sausage rolls and turned up at the edges sandwiches not mush of a replacement for a 3 course meal. We sat in the main area as mum was not well enough to go out at this point Basil Fawlty or should I say the owner came around complaining to everyone that some one had reported the hotel because it was dangerous to get around it in the pitch black so he had to give out the cheap £1 torches instead of selling them, he also threatened to throw the person out if he found out who had reported them. As the hotel is mainly full of elderly people he was very lucky nobody had an accident. The 2nd visit was a month later myself I would have never gone back but my mum said she enjoyed the entertainment so to make her happy I rebooked I rang and explained what had happened on our 1st visit not having a meal etc and was offered £5 per person!! My self and mum returned I had booked a ground floor room as I was worried if the same thing happened the lift would be out of order. We we arrived I was told the room we had booked had been given to somebody else and was given a room on the 1st floor as my mum by this point was in a wheelchair not a good option but was all we were offered. Thank goodness we had no power cuts or a fire as there would have been no way I could have got my mum out of the building and we were not only only ones with wheelchairs on that floor. This must be a fire risk! I did leave behind an item of clothing but this was not handed in either.

I stopped at the lyndene hotel 2 weeks ago, normally stop at Claremont but after stopping here won't look back, rooms and entertainment fantastic, such good value for money with entertainment included which I have to note is the best I have seen ever. Staff are so so friendly and I must not especially the bar staff they are a credit to the hotel and Phil the bars manager does everything to make you feel welcome such a nice guy. Will definitely stop here again and I will be spreading the word.thank you lyndene. :) p.s the bar credits system a fab idea and great value.

What a fantastic hotel! Usually stay at the Viking but this lovely hotel topped it. Room was lovely and very warm despite the howling gale and lashing rain outside. Food was lovely, well presented and a good choice on the menu. Service in the restaurant was brilliant, Oliver our waiter was polite, friendly and very helpful. Entertainment was fantastic! Take That tribute act on Friday night were pretty good, comedian was funny, Shirley Bassey tribute act on Saturday was good and the other entertainers were worth seeing. We didn't leave the hotel, as we felt relaxed and comfortable which was what we were looking for. Will definitely return. Excellent value for money
