bit disapointed this trip.room fine, food o.k.evening entertainment a let down.3 people won the £10 bingo line and £10 was split between them, should have been fiver each, bit mean.first night scottish guy playing instruments with an ancient routine.the 3 jerseys poor not as good as rag dolls.second night andy mudd funny.girl singer talented.matt phillips no show but brought in a guy to stand in for him, scott gallagher.no wonder this guy was available on a saturday night/act consisted of shouting most of the songs and pointing microphone at audience for tricky notes.please make sure you vet acts and don't just make up the numbers.poor acts spoil evening and despite having a good drink did not seem to have any effect.

Only stayed one night for hubby's birthday. First time there for us (my sister has stayed a few times and said how great it was) and would definitely go back. Connor on reception was fantastic, he made us feel really welcome. The rooms were small, but hey you only sleep in them, and they were very clean and the bed & bedding were great. The food.... Well I can not fault that, the evening meal was fantastic, we had lamb, and this great big lamb shank came out, it was lush, it just fell off the bone, I had to leave some only because there was too much for me. The breakfast was just as good, loads to choose from. And last but not least the entertainment which was fantastic, all of the artists was good but the comedian was fantastic, we all had sore throats with laughing. I cannot believe you get all this at such a good price. I can not understand a review that I have just read gave such a bad review... take no notice of it. Thank you all at the Lyndene Hotel, hope to see you again soon.

Room Tip: Any room, you only sleep in it,

Went for Easter weekend , with my husband and two other couples , there is nothing I can fault ,
Room was nice ,good size and very clean , food is very good ,evening meal there is plenty to chose from 4 courses!! starter ,soup, main , desert , and tea or coffee, we paid £300. For two nights BBEM, and we where given £50 each to spend in hotel on what ever we wanted ,
,defiantly going to book again , almost forgot to say the entertainment was great ,I can't believe this hotel only has a 2 star rating

Stayed here for one night as a stopover as it had been recommended. Hotel is easily located on the front. There is car parking at front of hotel and if full guests can park in hotel next door which is currently being renovated. Reception area was well staffed and staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was small though adequate and had a lovely view overlooking the sea. The bathroom was very modern and had an excellent shower. Our only complaint was that we had to sleep at the opposite end of the bed because for some reason the bed sloped downhill ! There is the usual hospitality tray in the room and a flat screen TV. There is an ironing room on the ground floor if guests need to iron clothing.

There are two function rooms at the Lyndene. One has the cabaret entertainment and the other has more sedate entertainment,. Three acts perform each night and the week's entertainment can be found on information boards in reception. Bingo is also played in the afternoon as well as in the evening before the cabaret shows.

There are two large dining areas which are split for guests depending on length of stay etc. Dinner in the hotel was excellent value for money at £7.50 for a four course dinner with tea/coffee. There was a good choice on the menu and it was unbeatable value for money. The menu is posted in reception each day for guests to view.

Breakfast was self service buffet style though waiters were available to go up for and serve the breakfast to older guests who didn't wish to stand in the buffet queue.

The Lyndene also has a ramp for wheelchairs and guests who cannot manage stairs very well at the side of the hotel.

The Lyndene is a very central hotel to enjoy all Blackpool has to offer and is great value for money. For guests who don't wish to venture too far from the hotel it is ideal as there is entertainment on both day and night. Would definitely recommend it.

We have just returned from our annual week away at the Lyndene and we continue to go every year because for a nice Sunday to Friday break it cannot be faulted.
The location is excellent for a pleasant stroll to town or the bus and tram stops very close by.
The rooms both public areas and bedrooms are spotless and the staff are so friendly and helpful whether it be reception or cleaning ladies in their lovely white uniform just ask if you need anything.
The food is really good:--
Breakfast has the usual starters, juice, cereal, fruit and lovely porridge, then you have the option of going to the server and choosing your own from bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, beans, hash browns and fried bread or the waiter will serve you at the table the choice is yours, then toast and jam/marmalade tea or coffee.
Dinner also has choices - choose from 4 starters, then soup of the day, choose from 3 mains + vegetarian option served with dishes of vegetables and potatoes ( there are many more choices of salads and dinners that can be selected at breakfast time) there is also a wide selection of desserts then tea or coffee. For the prices charged at this hotel you cannot beat the meals.
The bar is well stocked for drinks and nibbles, sandwiches, toasties, chips are available throughout the day.
The entertainment is in two seating areas, the organist is brilliant, bingo (both afternoon and evening) then in the evening 3 separate entertainers perform in each room.
We have never had a complaint - we go to enjoy ourselves and we always do - Thank You Lyndene we will be back next year.
