“Fun & freindly Blackpool break”
Reviewed 1 February 2011

As ususal we experienced the warm and freindly Lyndene welcome. As regular visitors we always feel very welcome and part of the Lyndene family but if your a first timer you'll be made to feel welcome and comfortable by the proffesional and freindly staff, whether that be at reception, the bar louges or the dining room. That's one reason why we came back after our first time and back again and again after that!

Rooms at Lyndene are comfortable and very clean with with tea, coffee and daily towel change if required. Sea view rooms are available for a small supplement and larger sea view bay windows are also available for a larger suplement. Large screen TV is alao available along with hair dryer and dressing table for the ladies. The en-suite bathrooms have power showers fitted and are spotlessly clean. Beds are firm but comfortable and extra pillows are available if required. Comfy chairs are also provided so you can sit in the bay windows and watch the world go by especially during gthe illuminations. Plenty of wardrobe and draw space is availible and an ironing room is provided if needed. You'll sleep well at Lyndene as roudy guests are not tollerated, we've never had a problem in all our stays

The hotel boasts two lounges with bars, entertainment is provided on evenings and bingo sessions are also held.a small games room is also provided. During the day tea and coffee is available and for the early riser complimentery tea and coffee is available before breakfast. The lounges are comfortable and the staff are very freindly and pleasant. The hotel has two large restaurants which are clean and comfortable with attentive, efficient and very freindly waiting staff. The food whilst not flashy is great with a large choice available on the menu each day, all served piping hot. Lyndene will not dissapoint at meal times.

The hotel is located on the promenade about half way between the tower and pleasure beach. adjacent are bus and tram stops with a taxi rank opposite the main entrance. Off road car parking is also available. Just across the road and tram tracks is the beach. Getting to and from Lyndene during your stay to anywhere in Blackpool or beyond is no problem and the hotel offers free excursions to Fleetwood Market and the Lake District for periods throught the year. Discounts for Zoo tickets and some other amenities are also available you really could not ask for more!

The best thing about Lyndene is the warm and freindly welcome you'll receive with proffessional and attentive staff who really want to make your stay great one. You'll feel comfortable and looked after for the whole of your stay creating a real home from home. That's why we come back time and time again.

the Lyndene is the first hotel we have stayed in that caters entirely for the customer, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel comfortable and it just got better, the entertainment was first class with four artistes every night and the meals were exceptionally good as were the dining room staff{ thank you michael} and the evening bar staff to whom nothing is too much trouble, we had never stayed at the Lyndene previously but we will definitely be going back thanks for a lovely weekend '

I have recently read some reviews which I cannot agree with, which has prompted me to write another review. We returned for our 6th visit on Sunday lunch. Our room was not ready but that was not a problem as we had arrived before normal check in time, so off we went to the bar and was promptly welcome with "Hi Paul nice to see you again" By the Bar Manager Phil Atkinson. After an hour the room was ready. Our room was not massive but had everything wee needed. The Room had been refurbished and had twin beds that were extremely comfortable. The room had 32" LCD TV and tea and coffee facilities. There were 2 lifts to our floor. The food at the hotel is very good with plenty of choice, more so that most hotels in Blackpool. To anyone who says the choice & quality is poor, well I dare not reply to that as it would be unprintable. Service in the restaurant is excellent. At reception the staff are very friendly and will help at all times. There is free WIFI in the lounge so you can keep up with your contacts etc. The Bar at the Lyndene is very completive with pub prices and Phill Atkinson and his staff run a tight and friendly ship. Where could you go and have a drink at the bar with the owner of a big hotel? You can here Barry the owner is out and about and not hidden in an office. Evening entertainment is still value for money. There are local acts mixed with Tribute acts. I saw Rock Stewart who was very good. Being the concert secretary of a club, I exchanged ideas with the Entertainments manager and suggested a few acts to him. Not only is there evening entertainment in both cabaret rooms, there are afternoon activities, which include Dancing & bingo. One afternoon there was karaoke and Horse racing. There are all the normal Sports channels too. Finally yes it does cater for 40+ clients, so if it is not your scene find a hotel in the centre which accepts stag & hen parties. There are my views and I will certainly be back later in the year for another 5 day stay

The reason I wanted to write this review really was to commend the staff in the restaurant and bar. They were helpful and courteous at all times, but more than that, they seemed interested in us as guests. They engaged us in conversation and really made us feel very welcome.

As many others have mentioned in their reviews, staff are probably the highlight of this hotel - they're friendly, attentive, and will go out of their way to help

Rooms are very modern, flat screen tv, tea coffee making facilities, free safe in the wardrobe (very handy) telephone, room was very comfortable.
Overall impression is positive, great modern feel to the hotel. Reception is bright and welcoming, staff on reception we're warm and chatty.

Entertainment was brilliant, great party atmousphere, great value for money

Thankyou lyndene for a wonderful stay will be back without a doubt

Just had a lovely weeks holiday at the Lynden Hotel.
Stopped there from Sunday to Friday with my wife, parents and a few friends and we all enjoyed the break.
The food was great and a wide choice of starters, mains and deserts.
Had a great room with a double and 2 singles, even though there was only the 2 of us in our room.
All the staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, without a doubt this hotel is worthy of the reputation it has already built up.
Well done Barry and staff, keep up the good work.
